I'm originally from South Carolina, but have been out here for 12 years, which means I'm a Californian now. Yay! No, I don't have the accent anymore (only on rare occasions). I'm usually found running/biking along the strand, playing volleyball, or just hanging with friends. It would be great to find someone else that enjoys being outside.
I got hooked on snowboarding four years ago and now go WAY too much. If you snowboard too, that's a big plus. BIG. If you ski, I won't hold it against you. I can be found at Mt. I'm a huge animal lover (except for horses...one bit me as a kid). I don't mind if you're a vegetarian/vegan, as long as I can eat some meat when I want (not that it's a lot). I have two cats, Oreo and Mochi, so if you're allergic to cats, well, it probably won't work out as they can sense people that are allergic and will hunt you down.
I went to high school in Tokyo, so I'd like to return there someday for a long vacation (I could do some damage in Akihabara now). I haven't had a really long vacation in the longest time, so hopefully soon I can do some more traveling with a partner. My list of favorite places I'd like to visit someday: Moscow, London, any place in Africa where a bug won't lay it's brood in my arm while I sleep, and China.
I won't say I'm a food connoisseur, because that would be such a lie. I tend to like simple foods, but that doesn't mean you can't have your Oysters Rockefeller or whatever. Just hand me the mac and cheese. Just kidding (unless it's good mac and cheese). My favorite restaurant is The Curry House in Torrance (yeah, go ahead, laugh). Love that place.

-Girl Scout Samoas cookies (don't like girl scouts though, creepy little elves)
-my Roombas, Red Leader and Mr. Clean (a must for pet owners)
-making little kids hyper so they can go home and annoy their parents

-sports, as long as it's at a game or doing it. Watching sports on TV isn't very fun

Live in Manhattan Beach and enjoy spending my weekends playing beach volleyball and staying active. Spend much of my time traveling for work across the West Region of the country (Seattle, Denver, SF, PHX, etc).
Love great food and wine, traveling the world, challenging myself, and sharing/educating others. I blossomed late in life, so grad school and genuine personality were my focus and foundation growing up (also came from small town beach community).

I am happy, healthy, very self-aware and fortunate to have the means and flexibility to travel anywhere I would like to at almost anytime. The only thing missing is the woman of my dreams to share all of these amazing moments with. I live a very flexible lifestyle (I spend most of my time in Mahattan Beach and San Francisco) and distance is really not a concern for me when it comes to dating so I am willing to travel anywhere in the world for the right woman.
I've been told by the women that I have met online that I "look much more handsome and look closer to 33" in person but older in my pictures so apparently I didn't inherit the photogenic genes of my male model Dad (I am happy to Skype/FaceTime, talk or text in advance of meeting so you can verify that I am not a wackadoo or have a unibrow).
On a more substantial level, my amazing Grandmother raised me to understand that a woman should always be treated like a lady with respect and that laughter and humor are as important as romance and sex in a relationship.
She would (repeatedly) describe me to the woman I am fortunate enough to meet that I am a confident but not arrogant, successful, polite gentleman that values the manners learned from being raised in the Midwest (Minnesota) and Hawai’i. I am in good physical, mental, emotional and financial shape, have a great sense of humor and dress well (from black tie to board shorts). I have a great family and my friends are really supportive. I like to make people laugh, with me or at me, but prefer with me. I think I am a comedian at heart. I am 6'4" and 185 pounds of pure muscle, I just have 40 pounds of fat covering it. My short term goal is to kick butt in the gym so my profile goes from "About Average" to "Athletic and Toned". Did I at least get a giggle? To be honest, don’t want to get too skinny – who wants to relive high school again. However, I did enjoy seeing Vanilla Ice and En Vogue open for MC Hammer in 10th grade. Ice Ice Baby!!!!
