Date men and women from La Jolla, United States. I enjoy camping in my VW Camp, going to the beach, boating, eating too much sushi and swimming at the cove. I also love red wine and great food often;)
I'm a dive bars, lounge or nice restaurant type of person. But will go clubbing with a group of friends now and again.
My goal is to be comfortable and happy in life. I try to enjoy each day for what it is.. I've been accused of being a workaholic. Most days I love what I do. So it doesn't seem like work.
I don't take myself too seriously. I'm a bit of a nerd but a cool one:) I'm sarcastic but respectful. I enjoy good conversations. I'm independent and strong willed but can admit when I'm wrong. I love living by the water. And will never live inland.....ever
I'm looking for a modern woman with some old school values. I'm looking for a 50-50 partner. I'd like to meet someone who is independent, has their own career, goals and dreams. I'd like to date someone I can take to a nice party or dinner one night. Then spent the next night camping on the beach, drinking bottles of beer in lawn chairs by a campfire before crashing in the before mentioned VW Camper.

Meet a man from La Jolla, United States. I'm a recent transplant to San Diego looking to connect with some fun people. I am an athletic guy with a penchant for travel and always enjoy an outdoor activity, from camping to running.
I work hard at an aerospace firm, and have been doing consulting for the last 5 years which is very rewarding to me. I hope to one day start my own consulting firm and settle down.
I enjoy slow conversation over a glass of wine, while placing the well timed joke in passing. If you enjoy intelligent conversation with a hint of humor, I'm happy to indulge.
Date single man from La Jolla, United States. Hey there.
Although I find it odd to brag about myself, rather than go through a laundry list of positive attributes, how about let’s play a game where I list an attribute then tell you a story. After all, doesn’t actions speak louder than words? Let’s play…
Athletic - I was once a ranked tennis player during high school and could run a sub-6 minute mile. I also cried at my first swim meet when I was 7 (I mean 3…). Generous – I once in the middle of the night gave a ride home to a hysterical woman from the train station. Okay, maybe you can also add occasionally stupid to the list. Caring – Well, I spent my whole young adult life with the singular focus of striving to improve the quality of health of those around me. So hopefully that qualifies as caring? I'm also there for my friends at any time of the day. Chivalrous – I am somewhat old fashioned. I have examples in mind but it's probably best you find out on your own. Funny – My friends tell me I’m funny and my mom thinks I’m hilarious. I think I get funnier over time once I know you better. It also doesn’t hurt if you like the occasionally corny joke. Honest – I once was in a car garage and saw this bike where you lay chest down and peddle with your hands. Well of course the first thought to pop in my head was that I wanted to try it. I know, you’re thinking you would want to try it too. Well I did ... and broke a plastic piece off the side. Although I was tempted to leave, I ended up leaving a note for them to call me (good thing they never did). Intelligent – I wouldn’t say I’m smart so much as hardworking. But I think I hold my own in Words with Friends (Scrabble). Okay, well this is getting lengthy so I’ll conclude with something somewhat personal.
My life's dream is to become a professor at an academic hospital specializing in hematology/oncology or GI and also doing health policy advocacy and research to improve this nation's healthcare system. Unfortunately the latter part I'm sure will keep me busy for a while. I also would like to travel all over and soak in all this great world has to offer. Though that's my dream that's still all secondary to family and those close to me.
I’m looking for someone to share a few laughs, have interesting conversations, explore new parts of the city, learn new skills together, and find fun activities to do. Perhaps I can teach you tennis and you can teach me another language (Spanish!). I’m also fairly particular in what attributes I think would be most compatible. If you are intelligent, not materialistic (building memories over possessions), have a slight flair of competitiveness, have a sweet disposition, laugh easily (it’s nice feeling funny), love kids, are honest, care about the world outside of yourself, and have strong family values, then send a message my way because we’d probably get along!
Meet a soulmate from California, United States. I'm a nice, honest and respectful person. I have positive goals I'm aiming for and I'm happy with what I've accomplished so far. I'm a Creative Product Designer in the Video Game Industry which paid off the Porsche. I just got a townhouse in La Jolla, pretty excited about living in that beautiful part of San Diego.
I am a dreamer who is living the dream. It's not about how for me, it's about when. I would describe myself as self sufficient and successful. In terms of love, I am the hopeless romantic type. I will open doors and hold my lady's hand when we walk. I'm trustworthy, never cheated on anyone and won't because that's not in my soul. I believe in manners, respect and consideration for others.
I like going out to eat with my friends for a good laughs and good times, love cracking up to some good standup comedians, I watch new movies any free chance and I keep up to date with all kinds. I'll say it, I also like girly romantic comedies haha. I just really enjoy movies. I'm into Culinary Arts and watch the cooking channels to learn from my favorite chefs like Jamie Oliver or Giada De Laurentiis. On the weekends I go shopping, fire up the BBQ, or make time for walking or running on the path for outdoor exercise. My big hobby is riding motorcycles and driving / modding cars. Good with my hands, crafty and artistic. I like going to car shows and local car meets. Music is a big interest of mine also since I like to DJ and spin vinyl, I rock two silver Technics 1200 MK2's with Serato on my MacBook.
I've decided to try this match dating to find a female who is sweet and fun to share my life experiences with. I want to learn about yours and hopefully find new interests with you. I'm a good listener if you want to talk about anything, I'll be there for you.
Date single man from California, United States. *edit* I've been off this site for over 5 years... thought i'd give it another chance. Looking through my old profile though, it's pretty much the same except I play a lot more tennis now. Bought a place in La Jolla, live here now. I think I've progressed towards my career goals, but not quite there yet. With that said, I'm still doing pretty well for myself. I've been travelling a lot. My current job allows me 6 weeks of vacation per year, and I try to use every day of it.
I have a lot of hobbies. I haven't been into the music scene as much lately, but I still find time to see shows every once in a while. I'm still very much a foodie. I had some good experiences with Match.com before, so I guess I'll leave my old profile up for posterity :)
--------------
I'm very laid back in my personal life, but I do have very strong career goals.
I LOVE introducing people to new music. Tell me what you like, and I'll try my hardest to find you something new you'd love. I also love going to new restaurants, trying out all types of food (yes, I'm that guy who will order the weirdest thing on the menu in hopes that I'll find a new favorite).
I think I could retire if I gave up both those habits.
I have a place in Santa Monica as well, so I do try to spend a couple weekends a month there (it's where I was born and raised, so I still have a lot of friends and family there).
Looking for someone to hang out with, who enjoys the same things I do and have fun... if something develops from that, great!
Meet a man from California, United States. I am a very positive person who doesn't take any of the great things in life for granted.... which is probably why you will almost always find me in a good mood. I come from a very close knit family and have a group of friends that I consider part of my family too. My friends would describe me as an extremely active person and maintaining a healthy lifestyle is important to me. Outdoor activity is a regular part of my life... running, surfing, hiking, snowboarding, crossfit, and more. I also love spending time with my family and friends, going to Chargers and Padre games, concerts, stand up comedy shows, BBQ's, etc.
I'm looking for someone who is honest, upbeat, lives an active/healthy lifestyle, and enjoys traveling. Ideally I would like to find someone who is ambitious and confident, but also considerate, affectionate, and thoughtful. Having a great sense a humor is also a must... so be ready to laugh... a lot!
Date single man from California, United States. I would like to meet someone who is a good person, attractive, has a good sense of humor, loves animals, is dependable, is honest, is loyal, and who has a normal adult attention span (aka NOT checking your cell phone constantly on a date! Immediate rejection material if not for a good reason!).
I love anything to do with water (swimming, surfing, snorkeling, fish tanks, fishing, boating, etc.).
The only lady in my life is 20 lbs. and black and white. Her name is Betty. She is a Boston Terrier, so you must like animals. I have always has lots of different animals in my life and I love almost all of them. I want to retire in a foreign country and drink mojitos on the beach until I die from happiness.
My closest friends would describe me as awesome, loyal, funny, honest, sarcastic, and intelligent
Meet people from California, United States. On the street where I was born, in a magnolia-scented city named Chengdu (better known as home of the giant pandas), a stretch of chestnut trees stood shoulder-to-shoulder like two columns of honor guards. The trees were gifts from Chengdu???s sister city, Paris, endowed shortly after World War II. Soon after college I went to Paris for the first time. The noble trees protecting the Parisian boulevards were radiant with a homeward warmth, putting me at ease in the new yet somehow familiar City of Light. Yet at home wasn???t the only way I felt ??? I had immigrated to the US in the 90???s and was in Paris as a journalist from an American news outlet. Being in France stirred enormous pride of being American. I ran my fingertips over the pearl stone walls of the Sorbonne and savored that it was here in 1832 that a young Charles Sumner saw his black and white classmates speak and walk as equals ??? a sight so enlighterning it inspired Sumner to fight for Emancipation the rest of his life.. So while my Chinese American life was already shaped by the richness and inspiration of New World postmodern multi-culturalism, nothing brought more life to the words of Charlemagne ??? to speak another language is to have a second soul ??? than finding myself amidst the labyrinth of cobblestone rues in Saint Germain.
When not daydreaming at Parisian cafes, I live and work in La Jolla. I just moved back here after spending three years in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I still travel often to Europe for work and Africa for fun, but San Diego is where home is and where I long to return after an extended journey away.
Date a man from La Jolla, United States. Transplanted from the east but loving it here on the west coast. I was told that I'd eventually start to take the beach for granted. Not so much, my toes feel the sand daily. It's been over 2 years and i can't imagine living anywhere other then on a beach.
Just trying to meet some fun new people and see some new places. It seems like there's endless things to do around here and I'm trying to do it all. If I connect with someone on a different level then I guess thats a plus. Im the kind of guy that rarely sits still. I don't want to be indoors, ever. I meshed right in to this California life stye. I work hard and play hard. I love a happy hour with a beach view. If I need a few hours of relaxation it's me a book, my iPod, and the beach. Wind'n Sea is my favorite spot to relax. Doesn't matter what time of the day it is. I'm not afraid to say that I love hanging out in PB. I've walked the boardwalk from PB to Mission hundreds of times with a coffee in my hand. I have about a billion pics of the sunset in my phone.
I come from a pretty big family all of whom remain back east. I miss the crap out of them and fly back every few months to hang with them. Taught mom how to Skype so she can see her "favorite" son when ever she wants. Ohh and I have the bomb little nephew. He's most likely the cutest baby in the world. Must run in the family. He likes to Skype with grandma too. Thats about it for now. Hope you enjoyed!
