I also keep myself occupied with my hobbies, flying my plane for a possible day or week getaway, working on it, driving the classic convertible and or working on it.I also enjoy taking the camper to the beach, mountains or national parks. I like to think I'm a happy, outgoing, young for my age, kind, hardworking, creative, curious( about the world ), a great father and uncle, hardworking and good with my hands. I am so proud of my two sons (23 and 19) and being a part of their lives is a priority. I have built homes and improved countless others. I have traveled to many parts of the world and intend to see much more of it. I love to take the boat out and jump a few wakes, do a little surfing ( behind the boat ). Teaching someone to wake board for the first time always brings a smile to my face. Snow boarding is also a passion. I have a great job and love what I do. I'm honest, a great friend and dad, passionate about life, love to learn, have fun and try different things but can also appreciate the simple things like hanging out at home and enjoying the quiet of trying to make something grow in the garden, cooking something special (ok, I cop to burning in the garden or fixing a kids bike. I have the greatest kids (as our own kids always are). They are the joy of my life. I have two kids left at home and one of those is gone soon to college. And soon they will all be gone and I will be left with me, and, maybe, you.
I am proud of the successful business I have built over the years and the fact that I have lifted myself out of the rut of workaholism and learned to 'smell the roses'. Love to sail, go to the theatre, movies, museum, run, hike, bike, play piano (poorly), classical guitar (even more poorly), and play hockey (very well-college and minor pro. I grew up in Canada where you skate or freeze). I still play, and, yes, I have most of my own teeth.
I keep in good shape without being obsessive and appreciate the same in others. I have a sense of humor that tends toward irreverent. I can find the bright and dark and funny side to most situations and people - especially myself! I don't know that I would be considered an eternal optimist but I always move forward optimistically. I like to think I am empathetic, a good listener without being judgmental or offering unsolicited advice (unless that is what you want), supportive, and , at times, a hopeless romantic.
While I am happy and comfortable on my own, it would be wonderful to share a great life with someone special. I would like to meet a woman who is, first and foremost, comfortable, confident and happy with who they are.
