Meet men and women from United States. Now living the summers in the Mendocino countryside I was once sailing the oceans and seeking the wilder parts of the world. But now I'm older and I feel fortunate to have settled in northern California. I still like to go adventuring ("nasty wet things that make you late for your tea") but more on a part time basis. Often I go in the spring to kayak off the pure desert shores of southern Baja.
In the summer I look after the maintenance and water treatment of a summer camp facility. During the winter I live in Eureka where I bought a house that I'm fixing up. I've built many things from boats to toy boxes, houses to cabinets. Come to think of it, water and wood seem to figure greatly in my life.
I like to think I have a kind and gentle disposition combined with humor and an ability to undertake most things in the physical realm, perhaps learnt from growing up on a small farm in England and sailing around the world. I have lived communally in California for many years and this has helped me overcome my English reserve and the years of sailing alone. I'm now quite communicative and willing to share thoughts and emotions.
I have a great appreciation of the wonders of the natural world and this seems to provide for any spiritual bent I might have.
As for the woman of my dreams, she may have many different looks but I would like her to have an open and inquiring mind and a care for the planet.
