I’ve been on Match for a few months now and so far this whole online thing has been one eye opening experience. With time I am getting much better at tightening up the screening process. It’s laughable (and kind of sad) how people can lie about themselves just because they’re sitting behind a computer. If you ask me – I have three first meet stories that will seriously make you pee your pants. I can't make this stuff up.
A couple of my best girlfriends are on Match too. One of the girls had an experience just last weekend where she met a guy for the first time. She said that in his profile he looked cute and when he wrote to her didn’t sound too creepy. Well, when she met him in person she quickly realized his profile pictures were of him in college…which was 7 years ago….where he was 30 lbs lighter and had hair. She was mortified. She literally walked into the place where they were supposed to meet and saw a short, stocky bald guy. She turned around and walked out. That’s not superficial. The point is…don’t misrepresent yourself.
I am not on here looking for a random hook up. I am on here because in my day to day life – chances are our paths would probably not cross. Match provides that median.

Giving this online stuff a shot. I work in the Bay Area and I am currently in school working on my Masters. I have a great full time job that I love. I don't have a black and white set of standards for who I like to meet. Basically I find it hard to meet good people and I am giving this a shot. I figure there probably is a person just like me who tends to get busy and hasn't had luck finding that right person. Date men and women from United States. I'm fairly new to this site since I'm more of a relationship type person but I'm willing to give it shot since I don't really like to date. My life is pretty simple and its not really out of the ordinary, but I do enjoy exploring new places(even around the bay) and meeting new people. Not into the club scene anymore but dinners, movies, and hanging out with close friends and family are all good with me. I'm pretty active and if the sun is out then I'm running, hiking or biking. I eat...a lot and it doesn't really matter where so you can try to keep up with me or at least within range! Funny thing is I still haven't tried that many places in SF even though I work there and use to live there. Recently I've been learning new things to cook and lets just say I'm still working on it!

Date a soulmate from United States. So I've challenged myself to write a better description of myself. Which ends up describing me very well. I am one to always challenge myself to become better or achieve another goal. I see myself as an evolving piece of work rather then a finished product. That is not to say I'm incomplete or I haven't achieved a measure of success, I just like to keep raising the bar higher. For a person of my height you have to keep that bar high, I don't like it easy.
Currently my weekend life is being taken up by the adventures of being a homeowner, working on my green thumb, and trying to make my house feel more comfortable. When I'm out and about, I'd much rather try something new, It doesn't always end well but it can be worth the story either way. I'm hoping to pick up a new photography class soon and its always great to learn something new with a friend, and hopefully on my next trip I can take some memorable photos.
On the days where you wont find me out, you'll find me working on my culinary skills in my new kitchen, I also am a big movie buff and prefer a movie at home to a movie out, who wants to watch a movie with a bunch of strangers, and uncomfortable seating anyhow? I can find the entertainment in just about any movie, which also would make me the worst movie critic of all time. I also like to take my pug out and about when its cool outside since Dublin has some good paths and trails.
As to who I'm looking for, I don't really have a type. I'm always interested in meeting new people. ...Oh wait, if your tall that's a definite plus in my book though.

You see, Napa Valley is probably the closest thing to heaven on earth. Which may explain why during a visit to a Napa vineyard, I had an unexpected epiphany: Ease up on the throttle and enjoy life. We’ll walk through the streets of San Francisco, and settle down to the comfort of our own deep conversations into the evening while sipping wine. From there, it’s the rest of the world.
