Date a man from Culver City, United States. I am very easygoing and I’m looking for someone who is the same. Chemistry is an unexplained phenomenon, and sometimes looking for it too hard can make things more difficult. Happy accidents sometimes happen.
I can be shy at first, but I open up quickly around outgoing, communicative, friendly people. I can feed off another person’s laughter and passion. I also enjoy the benefits of quiet time alone with a special person. I believe a good relationship should start with a good friendship and then develop into something deeper and more meaningful through patience and hard work.
I live a very healthy lifestyle, going to the gym, biking, inline skating and eating healthy, I do indulge in guilty pleasures now and then.
I like to explore new places and want to learn more about the world around me, especially with someone who shares the same curiosity and enthusiasm.
I have gone through many phases in my life, but it’s time for the next phase and I want to share that with someone who likes to experience life’s adventures with laughter. A sense of humor is essential for a healthy relationship to last a lifetime.
Meet a soulmate from Culver City, United States. When people in LA meet me, they usually guess that I'm from New York or somewhere on the east coast. Although strictly speaking this is true because I was born in New York, I actually grew up in Portland. I've been in Southern California for a while now and what I love about LA is the crazy diversity of things to do and people to meet. As the brilliant Carey McWilliams wrote over 70 years ago, living in LA is like having " a ringside seat at the circus."
Before moving here I alternated between places where you have to shovel your car out of the snow and places where the sun shines 12 months out of the year: I lived in Boston, then San Diego, then Chicago, then LA. I think I want to stick with nice weather for awhile.
I've worked in a lumber yard making floor tiles in Oregon, been a roadie for a band in Boston (no it was not Aerosmith), driven cross country in Australia to see the Syndey Opera House and the Great Barrier Reef, and broken a bike helmet mountain biking in Moab, Utah. (Yes I've also seen every episode of the original Star Trek series, but no I don't have any action figures--well ok, I have one action figure but only because somebody at work gave it to me for Secret Santa).
I'm a recovering corporate lawyer but for the past several years I've worked for a few different internet startups.
* Celebrity I most resemble, according to sweet, charming, perceptive ex-girlfriends: Mark Ruffalo
* Celebrity I most resemble, according to mean ex-girlfriends: the Del Taco Guy
I am always curious, love to read, love to try new things.
Favorite fruits: strawberries, cherries, grapes, nectarines. What is it with mangoes? Why does everyone love them so much?
* Knowing the difference between "you're" and "your." [JUST TO CLARIFY: Don't worry -- I am not going to correct YOUR grammar and I'm not going to judge you for typos or something. In fact I don't normally make a point of emphasizing my knowledge of basic grammar. I'm only bringing it up at all because so many women on this site specifically list this among their criteria, so I thought I better address it.]
I'm like going to see Classical music (Colburn School, LA Phil, and lots of other out of the way places) but nobody in LA seems to go that much.
Favorite awesome untranslatable words:
Tingo (Easter Island): “the act of taking objects one desires from the house of a friend by gradually borrowing all of them.”
Tartle (Scottish): "the act of hesitating while introducing someone because you’ve forgotten their name"
Ilunga (Tshiluba -- Southwest Congo): "a person who is ready to forgive and forget any first abuse, tolerate it the second time, but never forgive nor tolerate on the third offense."
Jayus (Indonesian): “A joke so poorly told and so unfunny that one cannot help but laugh”
I'm looking to meet someone who
1) is curious about the world, and always wants to learn new things
2) is mostly sweet-natured but has been known to have a temper (but yet does not throw temper tantrums)
3) is cool with going to the used book store AS WELL AS the shoe store (is there such a thing as a purse store?)
4) wants to go hike Topanga Canyon in the afternoon, get all dirty and sweaty, come home, and then dress up to go see the symphony at Disney Concert Hall that night
Date someone special from Culver City, United States. .......having fun? Kids get a summer vacation, why can't we forget about work and careers for a while?
Before we get started there are a few things you should know about me -
- I've never been a rejected contestant on "The Bachelorette."
- My parties do not attract D-List celebrities. Or the paparazzi.
- I was once mistaken for Danny Elfman at a Jerry's Deli. (During my long hair days.)
- If you like Pina Coladas and getting caught in the rain..... then you probably like cheesy song lyrics and movie quotes. (Good.)
- I use punctuation in my text messages.
Here's the deal - I'm a relatively drama-free (no crazy ex's, no stints in rehab), career oriented guy; domesticated and fully housebroken. Fairly useful around the house (car and computer repairs may require outside assistance.) I've been involved in film and animation for 20 odd years, so my hobbies generally skew towards movies and music. Also a bit of an architecture geek. Usually, I'm a jeans and nice shirt kind of guy, but will don a suit for special occasions or speaking engagements.
I realize that there are other things in life besides work. There's plenty going on in my life, but I have the most fun when I can share those moments with friends - or even better - bring someone else along for the ride.
You don't need to be a nerd or a geek, but knowing the basic difference between Capt. Kirk and Han Solo is a plus. So, if this bit made you chuckle, and you are open minded, are willing to laugh (at bad jokes, at me, and at the little absurdities life throws our way), have a sense of adventure, and want to explore L.A., then give me a shout and let's have some fun this summer..........

Date a man from United States. My friend's discribe me as a competitive person who likes to have fun. Funny when i'm not even trying to be funny. I like playing and watching all type's of sports. I enjoy doing thing's with my family. I am grateful for my family especially my mother and father who I think did a great job raising me. I am hoping to attract a woman who is looking to become my BEST friend while developing into something more and I also hope she will appreciate having someone like me around. Someone who is confident in themselves and is connected to there family and like sports. If this sounds like you "let's make it happen".
Meet a soulmate from United States. Oh well, Divorced father of 11 year old daughter, pretty laid back, 6.1 185 love my sports especially my Lakers, chill with my dog beaumont, he's a Bernese mountain dog, and is a handful. looking for someone interesting, stunning, amazing, oh whatever just do something.
Date a soulmate from Culver City, United States. How do I start? I guess I"m looking for someone who really likes her life as it is, wants to share it, says what's on her mind, without holding back, and sees the world and life in somewhat the same ways I do. I have to ask that you're within a reasonable geographical proximity, also, to where I live.
I'm not your average world-traveler, and I don't ski, as I notice there are many on this site that are looking for that. I'm more someone who is more likely to prefer staying home with my loved one, but still likes to go out to eat once in a while, to the movies, enjoys roadtrips, and just plain enjoys life. If this sounds like the type of person you're seeking a relationship with, let's talk. ( however there *are* many places I'd love to travel to at least once, including Italy and Greece)
Most of my interests are the types of simple entertainment such as movie rentals, reading, smart quality TV, and being creative software-wise (I spend a lot of time doing a lot of the same types of things that I do at my f/t job, but more creative). A lot of my friends are married, or have gotten tired of L.A./CA and just picked up and left, but even so, I still manage to go out and have a drink once in a while, whether it's a friend in town, or a cousin.
I prefer a woman who has her own interests on her own off time as well - basically someone who has a part of her life that consumes her attention and gives her joy, things she loves doing, and places that part of her life pretty high.
I love to try anything though (did a tandem skydive once), like to talk about anything, and occasionally enjoy small clubs where they have live music playing, but not into bars per se.
I also am looking for someone who doesn't take the annoying, trivial annoyances to heart, and instead has a silly or humorous outlook on life. Laughing at the world can be fun, when that happens to be the best response, that is.
Someone very physically affectionate would be nice.
Really not into any kind of organized religion, so I wouldn't be your ideal mate if you're an Orthodox anything.
If you like animals, that's another plus - if you don't, not like it's a minus.
Love movies, you need to also. I'm not sure if I should write more. Too much info in this box seems not constructive.
Meet someone special from United States. I'm a very upbeat and positive person, and like to surround myself with those of like mind and spirit. I smile and laugh easily and have fun doing almost anything.
Let me say right off the bat, that internet dating is weird, ok? it's just weird. But if you write me, you'll hear something back, even just to acknowledge that you are there. I think anything less would be impolite, hope you agree... People are people, even if they're just a face on a website.
I have a nice side, but love to be naughty in private, ask me if you want to know more about that.
Please have CURRENT pictures, and please be for REAL!
I don't play games or lie about what I like, want or need. I'm very up front about things, well experienced in life, enough to know better than to take it or myself too seriously. I know what I want and what I have to offer. Good communication is of the utmost importance to me. I cannot abide people that lie, deceive or won't say what's on their mind. I am blunt, honest, but also tactful.
I say what I mean, and I do what I say. I appreciate the same qualities in others. If I like you I won't pretend otherwise, this scares some people, but I'd rather be real than fake.
I am great at finding the humor in almost any situation. I love to make fun of how silly the human race can be and I love to make people laugh.
I tend to gravitate towards people younger than myself, just kinda happens that way. I have a very loose and youthful spirit and do not seem like my actual age at all. No one ever believes me. I'm much more concerned with things like real connections, honesty, maturity, confidence and with how well a person takes care of themselves. I like to keep very active, exercise and what not, and my partner will need to be able to keep up.
I love good rock music, video games, movies, cooking, the outdoors, football, dancing and karaoke.
I love to talk about spiritual matters, whether religious or not. I believe that there is a spirituality in science, in the power and sanctity of the earth. To me the most important part of faith is to be open minded to new ideas and experiences, and to be tolerant of other view points. None of us has all the answers, nor should we act as though we do.
I dig tat's and have a couple of my own, I love piercings (within limits) , unusual hair colors and styles
My ideal partner will:
Be open minded, have no prejudices against people of other races, religions, ideologies or backgrounds.
Be clean, but not a "neat freak"
Love to laugh, and have fun, no matter what.
Be a nice girl, but secretly naughty
Appreciate the simple pleasures in life, family, love, and security
Love hiking/camping and generally being outdoors
Love or like to work out, run, or do something to stay in good shape
Be casual about appearance, but know when and how to dress it up

Date single man from Culver City, United States. Well for starters I am mellow, easy going, open-minded, understanding, helpful, honest, thoughtful, and I have a good sense of humor. I don't talk dirty nor talk about sexual matters. I neither play games with people's minds nor "play the field". My ideal match would have almost or all my characteristics. What I seek is a loving and honest relationship with that ideal match. Her happiness would be my primary concern. After all, true love is putting someone else's happiness above one's own. (Please don't ask me for money or odd favors. I don't tolerate scammers, con artists, etc.!!!)
