I am a newly retiree looking to start the next chapter in my life and hope to find someone to share it with me. I enjoy being outdoors hiking, watching or playing sports laughing and enjoying life. I am most proud of being the mother of my three kids and grandmother to my two grandkids. Yes, I love kids but not enough to have any more of my own. IРІР‚в„ўm not too intelligent, but I do know the difference between THEIR, THERE AND THEYРІР‚в„ўRE!

Meet a woman from California, United States. I'm looking for that laid back, all accepting, great guy, who has gotten all of his vanity out of his system, and who can appreciate the important things in life...living it with someone you love. I'm not a needy person, and admit living alone is ok, but I am void that one special person in my life to tease, love, kiss, and make happy. I have two grown children and two granddaughters who are very much a part of my life, they live in Santa Cruz, where I visit monthly. I am honest, to the point, and just want to have fun with the man I'm with, no drama please. I like comedy clubs, dancing, movies, dining, and exploring new places. I'm Italian and want to visit Sicily once before I die. I'm not a frilly girl, just down to earth. I'm hope there at least one great man waiting in wings to finish out the last act with me. Hope you are the leading man.
Date someone special from California, United States. Really not liking this dating thing anymore than you.I thought it wise to just put out here the "stuff" that by now I know works best for me. I am looking for a man who is financially secure and stable, being equally yoked is a characteristic that enriches our relationship, a college grad, or at least some sort of higher education (found it is difficult to have those conversations that start at dusk and continue till dawn without some kind of foundation with which to begin)..not too much to ask for! I'm not a serial dater and if we connect, please don't make me your "Tuesday night" and someone else your "Friday" night getaway girl. Not fair for any of us. Not sure what a wink means to you, so please email me if what I have to say peaks your interest! I'll wait for you!
I'm 5'11" (perhaps a teeny bit shorter now!), average build. I'm a passionate teacher (teach kids with learning disabilities), mom, grandmother, homeowner, traveler, music lover, volunteer, life-long student (or student of life), one who loves wine tasting (member of South Coast Winery in Temecula)..music absolutely lifts my spirit. I enjoy concerts, whenever and wherever. Tried quadding a couple of years ago at Pismo and loved that! Learned how to golf 3 years ago, but hand injury has prevented me from being on a golf course for over a year. Love to row a kayak, ride a bike, anything outdoors, spend time with my children and friends. Have friends who are private pilots and own planes, so am going to begin flying lessons. I am the Vice President of a non-profit organization that works with at-risk teens and adults in the Inland Empire.
I am looking for friendship first, a foundation on which to build; mutual respect, mutual sharing, giggles, good, no great, conversations...I have five children, 4 boys, 1 girl, youngest graduated from high school in June. Was married to their dad for 16 years. Divorced, in 1998, for about 6 years and remarried someone else in 2004. That worked for about four years. Didn't spend enough time laying the foundation. My two grandchildren are gorgeous! One of each, born in winter, 2009.
Had the opportunity to be in S. Korea twice, in 2008 and 2009. My daughter and her husband were stationed there in the Army. Beautiful transportation system. Interesting food. Love the winter, not fond of the summer there. Traveled through Central America looking at Mayan ruins in early 2000's. Cruised first time in 2009, loved, loved it! Took a road trip with my son and grandaughter to Durango, CO in July 2010 and had a beautiful adventure; Mammoth and Yosemite for the Labor day weekend. Hawaii for Spring Break (April, 2011); North Carolina and Kentucky for Easter. Would love some day to see Europe (particularly Greece), Australia, Alaska, and more of the US. Just returned, (July, 2011) from an adventure to North Carolina with a stop in Idaho. Grew up camping and given the opportunity to be in a forest again, I would welcome that experience as long as I was able to have a few comforts of home, like a nice bed and no leaky tents!
I am young at heart, love adventure, from new foods to new places, to new people...love to "play house" by tending to my roses, or picking out a paint color. I enjoy being around bodies of water - brings my heart and soul some peace and a cleansing of sorts. Have an annual pass to Disneyland, love Soaring over California and the Matterhorn!
