Date a soulmate from California, United States. My primary job takes me all over Northern California from Chico to Davis and into Napa, Calistoga, and Clear Lake. My summer job is essentially camping in the middle of nowhere. I find it refreshing to have to shut out the outside world and live in the moment every weekend. I am a bit of a workaholic because I love what I do. Usually as soon as I free up some time in my schedule I turn around and overbook myself for a million other things. As much as I like to keep a packed calendar, I am looking for a man that makes me want to slow down a little. Ideally I'd like to meet someone that wants to make the most out of what little downtime life provides.
About me: Independent almost to a fault. I know sometimes it makes me difficult to read. I have nothing to hide, so feel free to ask. My taste is varied across all boards when it comes to hobbies, food, people, and clothing. Incredibly easy going but I know when to stand my ground. I believe in honesty and karma. I am an optimist that sees the glass as half full. Extremely loyal and I choose not to let others' emotions and feelings sway my own. I am lucky and determined enough to be in the right place at the right time on a consistent basis.
I have a sarcastic sense of humor. I love to laugh and instigate fun. Being social is important to me and I like to be surrounded with good company. There are never enough reasons to put on a pair of heels or get dressed up. On the other side of that I love being outdootsy and not having to put on make up. It all depends on the time and place...
My family and friends provide me with an undeniably great support system. The relationships I maintain help me define the person I am. I love long conversations and analyzing situations. I keep a journal because I enjoy reflecting on my life. That being said, I don't have a lot of baggage I just think I haven't met the right guy yet.
I think life is all about experiencing new things. It could be eating at a new restaurant, visiting a place I've never been or trying out a new hobby/sport. My ideal partner in crime is someone that is open minded and enjoys adventure too. I like to travel when I have the opportunity to get away. Some of my most recent getaways include a family reunion in Southern California, whitewater rafting, kayaking the kelp beds of Monterey Bay, and a trip to Hawaii. I've been some amazing places but I know I have barely scratched the surface on destinations I would like to experience.
What I'm looking for :
With as busy of a schedule as I keep I am looking for something casual to start and if it progresses into more, we'll go from there.
The man I end up with will initiate the relationship. I feel it might be old fashioned but it shows me he is confident, willing to take risks and slightly old school himself. On that note, I like gentlemanly behavior and romance as much as I like a man's man. He should be willing to put in the time to get to know me, make me feel appreciated, and be okay doing some of the cheesy romantic stuff to win me over. There is nothing better than a down to earth man that can make me laugh until my sides hurt. A guy should care about his appearance even if he doesn't have GQ style, he should look like he tried. I like a man with confidence, more so if he's not outwardly cocky. I love theme parties and when a guy is willing to risk looking silly to embrace it. I surround myself with great people so it is important that the guy I end up with integrates into my friend group and that I fit into his.
As far as dating goes I enjoy home cooked meals and a night in as much as I enjoy a night out on the town. My favorite dates are a long dinner- a delicious meal, the perfect cocktail or glass of wine and great conversation.
