I grew up in a small town in Illinois and have remained true to my Midwestern values (even after living in the LA area for almost thirty years).
Most people think that I’m very funny and have a great wit. Those that don’t feel that way clearly lack a sense of humor… Nevertheless I can be a very serious person, but without taking myself too seriously. It’s easier to laugh at yourself if you adopt that attitude. Plus, it’s really important to laugh.
Family is really important to me, and I love being a father. I would have no qualms about being part of a new family and making each of our families bigger. For me, it’s more than just “OK” if you have kids, but if you don’t, that’s "OK" too.
Having a sincere interest in the other person’s passions and desires is more important than being each other’s clone (“How was your dance class? Oh, you want to know how the Bears played today? Unfortunately, they lost to the Packers again, but thanks for asking! Now please tell me about your dance class.”). It either works as a loving and nurturing relationship or it doesn’t…but it should never feel like work.
In the interest of full disclosure, while my divorce isn’t final, I am definitely single (these things take time, you know). I'm excited about moving forward in my life with someone truly special.

Ok, should she enjoy dogs, horses, cooking and dining together, renting movies and eating take out Chinese food, concerts in the park, the bowl or the amphitheatre, plays, exploring other cultures, sharing a bottle of wine it would be a 99% fit. If you live life daily with knowledge the joy is in the journey then you will be an angel from above.
I am pretty motivated in profession but would love the opportunity to share in someone specials life. I do have time, patience, a good moral compass, a passion to live, love, learn, laugh, and a desire to find another who truly enjoys the synergy of great friendship, love, & teamwork. My interest range greatly. Aside from loving my profession in real estate and a passion to write, I can play any sport imaginable, can build you a piece of fine furniture, or write you a love story. I can fill your freezer with fresh fillets, prepare mouth watering sushi, or carve up a perfectly cooked turkey. Do love music (can't sing or dance real good...but try to stop me ;). Plan to learn to play the sax one day. Also love the beach, the lake, mountains-real tall ones too, and the ocean. Feel some of the most spiritually connected times have been enjoying what mother-nature offers.
Have you chance to visit and spend the night atop Mt. Whitney, or Mr. Tyndal? Have you seen the narrow passageways of Lake Powell at dusk as you were traveling by watercraft? Ever sleep under an active volcano only to awake in middle of the night after several days of cloud cover too notice a gentle stream of glowing lava within yards of your pillow? Ever seen the whites of eyes of a mama bear in the Sierra's looking for a midnight snack? How about; swimming in tropical waters with native sharks or in under water playgrounds that are adjacent to white sandy shores that call themselves "Lovers Beach?" I mean, as Van Gogh said; "if you find beauty in nature you will find beauty in everything." Not to say I don't like the five star hotels, the suites on cruise ships, exploring big cities, or the elegance of formal affairs...I do; however, it is in the meadow on a blanket under the starlit night, or the quiet conversation by candle light/fireplace light while sipping a glass of wine and later relaxing in a spa that totally appeals. Do love to camp in a movie theatre too. A night hike,a sunrise swim or jog on the sand, a siesta, and or a soft hand in mine while ascending this mountain of life would be icing on the cake. What better way to explore nature than to start with ourselves!
