I'm looking for a person who is ambitious, independent and focused, while at the same time loving life and finding humor and silliness in everyday life (as I try to do myself). I can also be a homebody who just likes to chill out watching DVDs, listening to (and writing) music, and reading coffee table books.
Hanging at the beach, listening to shoegaze music, nerding out on '60s pop culture, bad '80s teen comedies, finding old photographs of Los Angeles, and seeing live local bands are some of my favorite pastimes. And while I don't have any pets at the moment, I do love dogs and cats.

So, who am? I am originally from Madrid, Spain. I moved to the US in 2006 and to L.A. in 2010. Great times so far!
I'd say I am pretty spontaneous and adventurous. I really enjoy trying out new things, be it restaurants, movies, or just exploring the world.
On weekends, l spend as much time as possible outdoors, usually surfing, playing volleyball, or inviting friends over for a BBQ.
Ah, before I forget, I also enjoy salsa dancing. Contrary to Hollywood clubs, there is usually no line, and it is a lot more fun.
I am not a huge TV fan, although I wouldn't say "no" to a good movie with a glass of wine and Manchego cheese.
What would my friends say?
They would say "why are you still single?"
Seriously, my friends describe me as good-hearted, fun to be with, honest and spontaneous. Some say I am a great piano player, but I disagree ;-)
Overall I keep very busy, but I'll always make time for the right person.
Why am I here?
I don't have trouble meeting people, but I'm trying match.com because I'm tired of the bar scene and I refuse to settle for anyone less than fantastic.
I don't have a "type," but I am picky, because I'm comfortable with who I am and I know exactly what I want in a relationship. The must haves for me are (drum roll): adventurous, family oriented, easy going, honest, takes care of herself and likes to follow what happens around the world. I think this is a good start.

What's one of the things I most value? One word: time. I've been humbled enough by life's moments (both good and bad) to realize how precious time is. In other words, let’s break this down with an example... (1) I might hold the door open for you at a restaurant. (2) If there's a guy following you, I'll stop him from getting a better table than us by punching him in the face. (3) If there’s a guy following that guy, I’ll wind back my arm to punch him in the face, too... but then stop myself and think, “You know, this guy seems alright. I delivered the Best Man toast at my best friend's wedding. I told a few stories of youthful mischief, and capped it off by unveiling a torn and tattered paper bucket from Kentucky Fried Chicken that I’d saved since we were kids. (Long story…) That day says a lot about what's important to me: celebrating the past while always living in the moment. Too cliche? Next time I’ll work in a reference to face-punching.
What am I looking for in a woman? Well, I have high standards because I've been fortunate to have some of the world's greatest women as friends and family members... I'd love to add you to this pantheon of greats. I'm captivated by self-aware women with a balanced, “centered” energy. A woman who projects patience and poise: a smooth, easy, unforced energy that is both comforting and intoxicating. Similarly, I love people who show grace under fire... someone who has perspective, keeps it positive, and doesn't sweat the small stuff.
