I've stopped using match because I'm thinking about moving and I don't know where. I stopped paying them, but it's next to impossible to get removed. I was raised in a university environment (faculty brat) so I feel most comfortable with those who enjoy learning. I have a B.A. in French. I'm intellectually curious about everything from arts to sciences - I'll google just about anything.
I love animals (especially my cats, Ramses and Nefret - the black cats in my photo section). I don't expect a partner to love my cats, but I would expect him to respect them. I'm quick to laugh, slow to anger. With my (sometimes irreverent) humor, I make most people smile and I'm not afraid to laugh at myself. I'm not prudish or easily offended. I'm very honest, straight-forward, logical and analytical but not judgmental (though that may seem to be an oxymoron).
I'm tired of city living - too much noise and air pollution; too many people in a hurry getting nowhere; too many people who value possessions over all else; not enough simple joy and kindness. I live on top of a "mountain" (see photos of my views) in the country now and I'd be willing to move to the suburbs, but not to the big city.
I'm looking for a someone who is intellectually curious, a nature/animal lover and with whom I share some interests. It would be nice to hike, cook together, play word games, take car trips or putter in the garden. My perfect man would be affectionate, honest/direct (I am not nor do I expect you to be a mind reader), financially stable, loyal, and confident enough to be relaxed and not take himself too seriously.
