I am not a scholar but I do have general bits of knowledge, wisdom and philosophy. I love the plastic arts, classical music, oldies but goodies, foreign films and my bucket list includes and opera at La Scala. One of my passions is contemporary sculpture and I spend endless hours in my studio building ceramic sculptures.
I am very sociable and enjoy parties, gatherings and dinners with family and friends. I love to sit

I love nature; the mountains, the forests, the jungles, the coastlines the wildlife, but in particular I love the deserts and semi arid lands.

I love great food but not necessarily in the excesses of cordon bleu.I prefer any time a great meal at a trattoria than at a five star restaurant. My favorite cuisines are Italian, French, Mexican , Chinese and Japanese. I am always in the process of learning to cook new foods and new dishes.
I have traveled to about 40 countries and I am always fascinated by the diversity of cultures, ethnic groups, foods, languages and all the complexities of humanity. I am fluent in English, Spanish and French. I get along well in Italian and I manage to speak enough Starbucks to get my coffee just the way I want it.

- I love my dogs more than anything.
- I'm a vegetarian but I could care less if you are or aren't. I think it's a personal choice and won't try to convert you as long as you don't try to convert me. Deal? Awesome.
- I went to photography school and modeled for a short time.
- These days I work as a teacher. I love it.
- Laughing is pretty much my favorite thing to do. That includes laughing at myself, with myself, by myself... I'm not picky.
- I sometimes feel like an old lady trapped in a 24 year old's body. That's not to say I don't enjoy going out... But often times I'm just as happy having friends over or cuddling up at home.
- I'm obnoxiously competitive, but only when playing board games, card games etc.
- I love to travel, New Zealand probably being my favorite destination thus far.
- I love being outside, I have a favorite three mile hike that I've been doing for years, for some reason it never gets old.
- I grew up riding horses. I was on the back of a horse before I was on my own two feet.
- I can't ride a bike. It's really embarrassing but I'd love to learn. People have tried to teach me, all have failed. Up for the task?
- I love to express myself creatively. Whether its through my clothes, playing around with my cameras, pretending I can draw... However it manifests itself on any given day, it is a very important outlet for me.
- I'm a pretty good cook, have some amazing family recipes (I bet you I can make the best marinara sauce you've ever tasted) but would love to know more. At some point, hopefully soon, I would love to take some cooking classes.
- Generally speaking, as long as people are respectful towards me, I'm pretty easy to get along with. I think life is just more fun that way.
As for what I'm looking for... It depends what I find. In all honesty, I work a lot and am slightly disillusioned by my experiences with men I've met in the "bar scene." Some of my work friends convinced me to give this a try. I don't really have any expectations but I'm open minded.
But if I had to give details... someone who makes me laugh, has eclectic interests, is confident but not cocky, smart but still wants to learn, enjoys sarcasm, is openminded, takes risks and just generally loves life. In terms of looks, while I have preferences... I have dated all kinds. So for the sake of argument, looks don't matter but attraction definitely does.
** I have both photos of me as a blonde and photos of me as a brunette up here. I was blonde for years and years and just recently went dark. So in order to have more photos, I included some blonde ones as well.

Date someone special from Albany, United States. 27 Helens agree: I've always been a very creative type with an old soul, but I'll never say no to a good concert or a lively party. I'll always say yes to karaoke. Dancing keeps me young, laughter keeps me grounded. I'm a loyal friend that can be goofy or sentimental, whatever is called for.
On a personal level, I'm very passionate about improving my skills as a dancer, artist, and chef. In fact, I'm setting out on a long journey away from my current sales/marketing career, hoping to find myself back in the arts world. On a global sense, I'm very passionate about food politics, animal rights, environmental causes, and people finding their joy and calling -- because, doesn't everyone deserve that chance? Just saying. I have a very broad taste in music (everything from The Knife to Hossam Ramzy to Simian Mobile Disco to The Specials).
