Have lived, worked and skied in Switzerland after graduation from college, working as a jewelry designer for Gubelin Bros. in Lucerne, Switz. which started my career as a designer of fine jewelry. I followed that career for 27 years after returning to the US in 1961. Later Spent 10 years on the East Coast as sales and marketing executive, with the fine jewelry firm, Tiffany Co. My first duties included opening and closing the safe every day. (shows my level of integrity:) I loved my job. I was very involved with in-store visual display, front window display, custom jewelry design, sales and creative marketing throughout the New England community. I'm a creative thinker and a people person. I tend to work outside the box. With layered thinking, multiple design concepts, subtle and unexpected ideas, bringing dissimilar elements together for a creative and unique style. I executed in store and out of store event planning in the New England community growing the business exponentially! Can dress to the "9's" with the best of them but prefer a pared down, classic look.
I have also had my own business remodeling old houses. I'm the "can do" type of woman who will roll up her sleeves, get busy and get the job done. Paint splattered jeans and all. My approach to design includes renovation from the inside out, with attention to interior design, architecture and landscaping. This suited my interest in style, building, three dimension and gardening. I have designed, and remodeled several swimming pools. Loving to swim, my favorite was a lap pool enshrouded with tropical foliage for total privacy. I could swim in the moonlight but always wished you were there. As a mature woman I'm still very active, have kept my figure and look 10 years younger. I love sports and was an athlete when younger. Today I can swim, cycle, play tennis, sail, enjoy hiking and long walks. I played golf in college and would learn to play again if you are a golfer. I also love to dance even in the kitchen!
I live near my daughter and family in Manhattan Beach... with my 4 year old grandson:-) My daughter is a professional photographer and took all the photos of me between Sept. 2010 and Dec. 2011. The photo of me with chandelier and beach shots were for a feature article in the South Bay Magazine, Feb. Mar. 2012.
