She belongs to the forest & cannot leave & the Wood Nymph, once she steels your heart, she does not give it back. Bj?rn longs for the Wood Nymph, cannot love a wife & as the years look in through the door he lives out his days in loneliness. A sad, simple, mythical story, real life is a bit mor complicated, life moves on & we learn & grow with our losses. But I love this orchestrated piece.
I'm a design professional & fine art photographer, my work is in galleries, exhibits & collections. Photography is the great passion in my life, but I am interested in other visual arts & anything that moves or involves making or fixing things. Landscaping my front yard & remodeling my bathroom have been recent projects. Writing is my new passion. My first book is almost done & I have a prestigious publisher. A second is under contract.

Date someone special from California, United States. Long story short, I'm a Minnesota Norwegian country boy who somehow ended up living almost all of his adult life in large cities. I recently escaped from the last one, Los Angeles, to Eureka, CA. (And, yes, I'm determined that L.A. will be the last large city I'll live in.) I've only been here about nine months, but do have a job (somewhat to my surprise).
These days, I'm enjoying live music, especially in small, casual venues. I like to dance. My taste in both music and dance is eclectic. I like to eat at good restaurants - when my sons were up visiting recently, I told them I would have to start dating if only to have someone to eat out with.
I have no hard profile of what I'm looking for. Like most people, I've had in my life some preferences in body type, personality, etc for partners, but I find my preferences are becoming less definite or exclusive as I age. I'm a firm believer in "it ain't what you got, it's how you carry it" - and the attractiveness of a face is mostly about how one inhabits it.
Or I could say, on a more practical level, as a friend of mine did, when asked what kind of women he liked, "At my age, I like the ones that like me." I believe that, when two people meet, there is an intuitive recognition of like or dislike (or disinterest) - not always immediately, but usually fairly soon. The Who: Love the Lord (Not a preacher), Singing (that's where the Paulvarottie comes in, I'm a baritone) in our choir is a honor, sharing church with Mom every week is a blessing, semi-retired, so I have time to pursue my interests, ( in no particular order of importance) such as Sun Oaks gym (3-4 times a week), photography ( love to teach/instruct - college instructing experience), bike riding, playing both types of golf (disc/reg), hiking/field trips, music (all types), play the spoons, friends are important, don't think one can have too many true friends, R.A.I.N. " Rescued Animals in Need" a no kill non-profit animal rescue organization, which I'm a member of, the RAIN volunteers are my family, I enjoy Graphic Art Design from signage to business cards and everything in between, playing cards, enjoy the Arts, plays, movies, concerts, I've been told by lady's/girls many a time, that I'm not the typical guy...........that is to say, I tend NOT to be on the surface talking about myself. Friends have called me "Mr. Fixit" and I do enjoy helping people out in that regard. And if I feel that you, a Lady, is getting taken advantage of or getting the run around, I will go into "Protect Mode" and come to your aid, that is if you want me to.........

Also have a huge history with Massachusetts. Have played a variety of sports all my life. Tennis is a passion. Love movies, sometimes see several on same day! Funny, tearjerkers, spooky, whatever, I love the audience reaction aspect to going to the theater. Obviously love all sports, traveling, eating out (I'm not much of a cook, but a great assistant!), Socal weather (beach of course), and most all kinds of music, including oldies and classical (my great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather was Bach, honest!). The company I work for is finally starting the possibility for employees to work completely remotely from "home" so I will be looking at options as to where in the country (or world) to visit/live next. SoCal is of course Paradise, but the idea of maybe being able to live pretty much anywhere for a period of time and be paid for it is very enticing! San Francisco, Florida, Carolinas, Las Vegas, New Mexico, Montana, Utah, Idaho, Arizona, Costa Rica, Mexico, Spain, Italy, France, Russia, Ukraine, Hawaii, Iceland,... so many choices!
