Meet a man from California, United States. On a given day you may find me at home with a book, on the ocean in my kayak, high in the mountains watching nature, or hanging in a nice restaurant with a fat steak and a nice Pinot(A frosty IPA is my favorite). Some stuff I like to do- boating on Lake Sonoma during summer looking for a cool spot to jump in and swim, picnic, hiking the deep and dark of a redwood forest, freediving the Pacific ocean for fresh seafood(abalone, scallops, fish). Hate to brag but I'm probably the worlds best fish taco maker ;)

I fear greatly to be that person, who, upon the end of their days, discovers the clock ticked life away- I try to always remember this and live accordingly.
Am fiercely loyal to my few close friends and small family, all of whom partake in my sometimes crazy adventures. I raised an angel of a daughter who is now in college.
Intellectual things and conversations are fun with the right folks. A good Crossworder(is that a word?)and Scrabble player but an idiot at card games. Those close to me will say I'm spirited and precocious. I'll cry if moved and don't care who sees it. No person in their right mind would describe me as, "a simple guy".
What would it be like if you didn't measure the success of your life just by what you get and don't get, but gave equal or greater weight to how in touch you are with your deepest values? Something to chew on, fur sure.
An adventurous, assured woman who will do fun, crazy and sometimes dangerous things(this part is negotiable)catches my attention. I'm affectionate and look for the same in my sweetie. Big fat smiles and slow kisses are at the top of my list.
Living an anything but boring life is important to me and I do ok most of the time. BTW- occasional lounging around in PJ's on a weekend morning does not count as boring. First off, if you are "currently separated" I am not interested. Currently Separated means you are still married and I do not get involved with married women.
I think this is probably the most difficult part of this entire process. I find it rather difficult to describe myself but I will give it a try. I think my friends would say that I am honest, loyal, hard working, practical, intelligent and opinionated (although I have mellowed dramatically over the years). I have never been married. Although I would really like to share my life with somone I am content to remain single if that how it works out. I was an athlete in college (tennis) and have remained active my entire life. I mostly train at the gym. I enjoy BBQ'g, good food, wine tasting. My friend's and their families are important to me. I take great pleasure in the fact that their children think of me as their uncle. I am a frank person that is not into games. I really do not feel the need to attempt to impress people. I am who I am. I like people and do what I can to help those in need.
The most important part of my life is my faith. I attend a conservative Baptist Church but I think it is important to note that my faith goes well beyond the church I attend. This is just a place where I can worship my Lord within a community and serve the family of God. Having a relationship with Jesus Christ and serving Him is what life is all about. The Bible is clear that those that know and follow Christ should live humbly, act justly, and love mercy. I am attempting to live this in my own life although I fail many times. I am thakful that I have been forgiven.
A little more about my personality and the things I value. I would rather take a nice vacation than drive an expensive car. I would rather eat a good meal at home than eat fast food. I would rather delay gratification and pay cash for something than make payments. I live within a budget so if you are not someone that wants to live that lifestyle we are probably not a good match.
I have been on several short term mission trips. I have been to Philippines (twice) to assist in the building of a medical clinic that my church financed, China for Bible distribution, and Ukraine (twice) - one a buidling trip and another ministry oriented, and in 2011 I went to Uganda where I helped plant two churches outside of Soroti. In one week over 770 people made first time professions to trust in Jesus alone. I am looking forward to my next trip.
To sum it up, I am an average guy that is trying to live life in a way that is pleasing to God knowing full well that there is nothing that I can do to earn God's favor. It is solely by His grace that I can come before Him.
I am seeking a woman that has the same view on life: it's not about us but about Him (Jesus). I would hope that she would be active in her church or some type of ministry. If she has children I am fine with that. I will do my best to treat them as if they were my own and support her and the father in raising their children. I would hope that she would have a love for people and a desire to help them. Fitness is important to me but I am not a freak about it.

You; "I just lost 160lbs" Me; "Oh my gosh, did you lose both legs at the waist?"

Believe me I am far from perfect. We all have our faults and baggage. I guess the key is to find someone whose shortcomings are a fit for yours.
I do believe that I am really just a normal, simple, honest guy who is trying his best to take care of his kids and do all of the right things.
In my life I have been in fast relationships and relationships that go very slowly. I try not to overanalyze that part and believe in just going with it. Heck, maybe it lasts 6 months. Maybe it lasts 20 years. Just go with it and enjoy life.
