I'm honest, always on time, and willing to compromise. It's not easy to put yourself on paper so I'll leave it at that.

I am often struck by how gloriously beautiful everyday occurrences are: sunshine, the Moon, clouds, puddles, birdsong, fresh air, cats, dogs, and children. When I remember to cultivate a mindfulness of gratitude and appreciation, I find these practices are ample rewards in themselves. I often go out of my way to see flowers, sunsets, rainbows, after-dark moonrises. I often strive to have a friendly smile on my face when I am in a public place (a store, or BART). It hurts my heart to see how many people walk through this life looking sad, afraid, or defeated. (The notion of some infinitely gentle, infinitely suffering thing.) While it’s not much, I try to share a smile or a kind word whenever I can.
Bookish by nature, even a bit of a nerd, I have worked over years to ground my energies and occupy my body fully. Tai chi, and studying massage, and training in energy healing have all contributed to this process. I love to be alive. I love to be in motion. I love hiking, especially on mountain trails. I typically bound up stairs instead of taking the elevator. Energy is eternal delight. At the same time, I far prefer calm and serenity to entertainment-driven stimulation. I find TV taxing. I far prefer heartful conversation to media. I am recharged by quiet recollection, and through mindfulness and breathwork, I usually can create the inner space for that even within the rough and tumble of the everyday life. Friends appreciate my deep listening and my ability to remain centered & calm even when all hell breaks loose.
I am deeply aware of how precious life is, how precious each day is. Some significant losses in my early adolescence have profoundly shaped me. The fragility of life is vividly present for me, so I strive not to take anyone or anything for granted. I strive to bring kindness and empathy even to my interactions with cashiers in stores: however brief our interaction, they too have their whole life story. If the people with whom I interact regularly feel my genuine appreciation, I feel I have chosen well. Each day has its unique gifts and its unique opportunities. Today belongs to the few, and tomorrow to no one.
I feel Life deeply. Classical music often moves me, sometimes to tears. Other times, it stirs me, as when I’m driving with one hand and air-conducting the symphony with the other hand. Good poetry can simply haunt me for days (needless to say, that is scant surprise to the astute reader). Good food, especially with good wine, can be soul-satisfying. A good thoughtful intelligent conversation can warm my heart for hours afterward. I laugh frequently, as much at my own foibles as at anything else, and am frequently amused by the absurd juxtapositions of modern life.
I feel Life deeply, but nothing so deeply as matters of the heart. A woman’s tenderness and deep sensitivity impact me profoundly, as do her integrity and depth of sincerity. Nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands. In romance, I would like my love to be experienced as a constant stream of kindness, patience, and consideration --- to love the pilgrim soul in you and love the sorrows of your changing face. I strive to show my appreciation in relationship: perhaps bringing that first cup of coffee/tea to the bed, or giving a foot massage after she's had a long day. Once compassion and trust have been established, I prefer that the majority of our conversations be about “red pills” rather than “blue pills”, about growth and expansion and discovery rather than complaisance & static satisfaction. I sincerely believe that the work of Love is the highest spiritual work, and no small part of that is, every day, encountering my lover with my best self, to love to the depth and breadth and height my soul can reach.

Meet a man from California, United States. I grew up in San Francisco, was a little bit of a wild child, went to College and lived in New England/ Boston for 6 years. I moved back to SF and have lived and owned/operated serveral small businesses from restaurant to Car washes. I have lived in Cabo San Lucas the past 12 years, owned a couple of restuarant/bars there and it was a great time of my life, but felt it was time to move on. I sold my places a year and a half ago and having been traveling pretty much since. Mostly In India, Indonesia, and Thailand. I am creative and enthusiastic and love opening new businesses and very much look forward to the next venture, I have some fun ideas.
I am a total foodie and love finding new spots. Traveling, music, being with good friends and the outdoors are some of the things I enjoy. I am young at heart, and can be wildly spontaneous. Yoga, Pranayama and meditation are part of my daily practice. My favorite outdoor activities are surfing, mountain biking, snowboarding but I've tried and like just about all of them. I'll try just about anything at least once. Growing up one of my dads favorite sayings was "don't knock it till you try it" and I try to live up to that. I steer clear of drama and phonies, and I feel sorry for pretentious people.
I am grateful to have an amazing group of friends from around the world, and am comfortable in just about any social situation. I practice and follow Eastern views and philosophies. I believe in non-daulality and that living life with all it's experiences leads us to self realization. I know who I am and what I want from life and feel pretty good about getting it. The fun part will be seeing how it all unfolds. I gravitate towards people who are real, happy with themselves, open minded, honest, enthusiastic, outgoing, fun and sometimes a little funky. Attended university in England and moved to the US about 12 years ago, this is home now. I own a cooking school for kids and a catering company. I love what I do for a living, this is the best job I have had. This is my vocation in life.
I feel that I am a well balanced individual. Yes you may have heard this before, but having traveled the world extensively through work and for pleasure, has given me a better understanding of people of all walks of life and cultures this allows me to be more tolerant. Destiny has a role in what we do, however we choose the path and destiny does the rest. If it’s meant to be so be it. We should thrive on life and enjoy the moments. The only regret that one should have is that we did not live life to its fullest. Don’t get me wrong it is not implied that you spend all your money to live life, it is meant to live your life.
I am now focusing on moving on with my life, 17 years of marriage produced my greatest creation our daughter...she will always be the most vital part of my life, she is passionate, intelligent, compassionate and funny....i thinks that she takes after her dad...book smart like her mum but is coming into her own personality.

Meet people from United States. It's difficult to easily package myself and present it to others. I have strengths and faults, and don't feel bad about communicating both. I believe in being honest and as well. We're all busy, so better to give an idea up front of whether it makes sense to respond to me or not. So here goes:
•"Enigma wrapped in a riddle" - hard to figure me out? I come across as conservative, quiet yet outgoing, very serious - and I'm totally not, once you get to know me and I get comfortable with you. I guess an easy way to put it is, I'm weird but presentable
•Working up a huge sweat, carb bonking, and wearing myself out to the point of exhaustion on a long bike ride is pure heaven. I like to challenge myself physically

So who am I looking for? I think that is actually an arrogant thing to say. Everyone's a person, not a product we are trying to buy on a shelf.
Life is compromises and learning new things and how to learn with others is critical to happiness. So while the following is an ideal, I also recognize it probably does not exist, and it is hardly fair to expect someone else to be a perfect fit when almost certainly I'm not a perfect fit for others (and of course, we both would have "hidden faults" that are not shown in profiles).
My ideal match would:
•Be outdoorsy and enjoy physical activity. I thrive off a great workout outdoors - that's why I love it here so much. I cycle a lot - you don't have to, but tolerance of my love for this probably will be better for a match. I'm not a good match for those looking for someone who focuses on museums and fine arts
•Be somewhat geeky/brainy. I live for deep conversation - politics, religion, history. You'll be bored if you are looking for Joe Frat Boy. For some reason, I've always been attracted to those other people feel are dorky. Call me weird
•Be eccentric and open-minded. I don't do normal. How that is defined, is something we'd have to explore - difficult to do here. If you think of yourself as completely normal, I'll probably freak you out. Risks and pushing the envelope of conventionality are fun to me, as long as not illegal. Let's just say, I've never been to Burning Man, but I've always wanted to go
•Can tolerate some sensitivity. Hate to admit, I'm sensitive
•Have a soft spot for the "little guy", and have a solid liberal streak. I hate those that feel they are better than others due to money, education, whatever.
•Can be somewhat independent. I need "me" time - and I appreciate that others do too.
•The tough part - I don't do well with superficial types. I drive an Audi because it's comfortable, not for brand. I was just as happy with my 1997 VW Jetta until it disintegrated. Make-up detracts from natural beauty, glasses are sexy.
