Date men and women from California, United States. I'm a young, motivated professional and I've lived in San Francisco for a little over a year. I'm very close with my family and best friends. I'm confident, but I also have a sensitive side and enjoy connecting with people at a deeper level. I've been told that I'm funny and have a laid-back vibe. I love traveling - I've backpacked through Europe, Vietnam, Japan, studied abroad in Barcelona, and most recently traveled through Thailand and Nepal.
A few other things about me - I love beer & wine tasting, and lately my drink has been scotch on the rocks (I know - it's what 60 year old guys drink but I can't help it). I'm all about sports, and am always up for a Giants or 9er's game. If you're out with me I'll probably take us somewhere new - exploring new bars, restaurants, and other cool spots in SF is where it's at!
Although I'm independent, at this point in my life I'd like to meet someone who I can be myself and connect with.

That being the case, I don’t have a bunch of pictures of myself lying around so I had to go with the “do it yourself” photo. The fact that you’re reading this means that you were willing to overlook that, and I thank you.
I moved around a lot growing up, but for the most part, I grew up in the Midwest. I moved to California when I was 13, went to college in Colorado, moved out to NYC after that, and now I’m back in CA. Takeaways from all of this:
1. I look forward to and embrace change (a quality that I have found to be quite rare in others).
2. I have a very well rounded, down to earth, personality.
3. I am very family oriented.

I can’t sum up who I’m looking for in a few words. I guess for starters, she is genuinely fun to be around, can teach me new things and lend a unique perspective on the world, has a great sense of humor, and a great aesthetic. I recently decided to pick up and move from New York to LA, pretty much an impulse decision but I'm pretty excited about it. I love music and traveling but who dosent? . I used to party a lot back in school but thats changed since working full time. I also used to play lacrosse in college and I currently work at Apple as a Business Specialist (I was able to transfer to CA with work). I'm very hospitable. I live alone, I have my own place. My friends often come to me for advice and normally most of my girl-friends come and talk to me about their problems, I consider myself to be a good problem solver and smart, I got my Degree and I am proud of it. I like to travel, last place I went to was Vancouver and it was awesome and cold. In 2014 I plan to go to see the World Cup in Brazil, my favorite team, which is the reason why I also plan to learn Portuguese. I like most types of music (except hard rock), I like dancing, I dance most Latin music, like Salsa and Bachata, if you don't know how I can teach you :-) and I volunteer at the epilepsy foundation (I don't have epilepsy), sometimes I work taking care of children between the ages 0-17, and someday I want to help at the homeless shelter.
I am looking for Someone that accepts me for who I am. Someone who is willing to listen (communication to me is important), someone that likes going out to random places at random times. I like going out and I like eating a lot, so if I'm out all the time, it will be trying out a new place to eat. (^_^) and I would sure love to have someone around to enjoy it. Date people from California, United States. I love to try and explore new things. Recently I've been interested in bouldering in the mountains, backpacking in the wilderness (High Sierra Trail in a few weeks!), riding/fixing my motorcycle (let's be honest, it's mostly fixing), attending music festival (e.g. Lightning in a Bottle), and coming soon: surfing and photography. Since moving to CA, I've learned how to decently juggle a soccer ball (no small task for me), learn the ukulele and bass guitar, seen the milky way galaxy, sailed in the ocean, and skied in my statue of David boxers down Mammoth Mountain.
Currently (and for the next 2-3 years), I'm pursuing my PhD in Engineering at UCSB. As of now, my goal is to become tenured faculty at a major university, and of course, end up at Santa Barbara in the latter years of my life. During work breaks, I enjoy reading about politics, watching TedTalks, and tinkering in the lab.
I like the sound of ceiling fans at night, going to both big (Muse) and small (@ Soho) concerts, my "job" as a graduate student, people who make me laugh, and interesting cheeses.

Date a boy from United States. Where to begin... Raised in Northern California in an all Latvian family (yes, it's a real country) but been living in the LA area now for a couple of years. Did undergrad at LMU, worked for a bit in the industry and now in grad school at USC for Film Studies. Obviously, I'm pretty passionate about movies and TV (could totally sit for hours watching an entire season of a TV series, or I'm up to watch pretty much any movie you can throw at me). But, I do love the beach, hiking, snowboarding, surfing, ice hockey, exercising... I tend to get pretty antsy if I don't do something active every day! Food is awesome too. Working on my chef skills but finding new places around LA has lately been more my jam. Dancing like a fool or like nobody is watching is always awesome. First off, don't trip potato chip about the location, lol. If it's worth it, I'd be willing to relocate if you weren't able to. All considering, I'm up for relocation of my duty station anyways (where I'm stationed). Meaning, I have the opportunity to choose where I want to be located, even foreign countries if there's a base located near.
