One of the great things about me that I am not sure is always noticed is that I think ahead and sometimes make decisions of how to do things based upon others. For instance, I once invited a woman to come skating with me and offered to drive. Instinctively she made a reason to take different cars because she probably thought I had bad intentions. When she arrived the first thing she asked me was where to put her purse. Believe it or not the main reason I had offered to drive was actually so she could leave her purse in my car and not worry about it. When I'm at a restaurant, I tend to order something I've never had before because who knows what I'll end up liking. Once I went to Silver Dollar City, and my friend really wanted me to experience a roller coaster. They scare me, but I agreed. After the ride I was asked how I liked it. It was terrifying. I had my eyes closed for most of the ride wishing it was over, sensory overload. I got off and my hands were shaking. I was a little disoriented and I felt a little sick. My friend felt so bad for taking me on the coaster and promised me never to force me on one again. To which my reply was, "Give me a few minutes, lets walk around and I will ride it again... I want to ride it again." It's only logical I didn't like it the first time, it's something I'm scared of. I wasn't going to base what I would like or dislike on one ride. I wasn't going to let fear win. So that day we rode numerous rides, I braved the unknown, opened my eyes to something new, and started enjoying this new experience. I believe that if you don't like something the first time, be open-minded and try it again. It's liked for a reason, why not try to understand why.
