I was born in Oakland, and grew up in a Chico and I appreciate the sense of community and freedom found there. But I have always been driven to expand my horizons, to seek and explore this wide world. I have been fortunate to travel and live outside California and the U.S. and I look forward to much more travel--especially with someone special. I spent several years living in France. First when I was 20 -- which was a life-changing experience! Then, after college, with a major in French, I packed my bags and was off once again to Paris. I found a job and stayed for 2 1/2 years. My time in France opened new doors for me, new perspectives on my own life, and a sincere appreciation of other people and their cultures. It's been a winding road since then (maybe you can relate!) -- to the east coast for grad school (French literature at Yale) and back to California where I've been for several years. IРІР‚в„ўm happy to be here and nearer to my family. My sense of curiosity and adventure have more than enough to explore right here in this amazing place!
Among my passions are music and dance. IРІР‚в„ўve danced since I was five years old and it is an essential part of who I am. This goes hand in hand with my love of music which moves my soul like almost nothing else. IРІР‚в„ўve got Albert King spinning on my turn table right now. But I could just as well be listening to Johnny Cash, Neko Case, Loretta Lynn, Tom Waits, Muddy Waters, Sam Cooke, Stevie Ray Vaughn or Chopin. Really, the list is unending! One of the great things about living here is the overwhelming choice of musical options which I try to take advantage of as much as possible.

I really enjoy going to the Raiders games! I am the kind of girl that actually enjoys watching the game on Sunday...lol, I can really get serious about it.
Going to concerts and comedy clubs are my favs. I also enjoy cooking and cuddling on the couch watching a movie.
My taste in music is all over. I can find some appreciation in all. I love to laugh. A good "knock knock" joke can make me laugh.
