A couple of years ago, my 99-year-old grammy died. She was an awesome soul who had lived an incredible life. She left behind for my brother and I, the only surviving members of the trust, enough for me to start over. Frankly, a half century of hard partying had taken a toll, both physically and mentally. So, how many people get a chance to start over? I mean really start over? Only a fool would not try to take advantage of this kind of opportunity.New everything. New house. New TV. New Furniture. New teeth. New attitude. New life. I am looking for a meaningful relationship with a like-minded individual who shares my interests.
One note: A little over a year ago I was hit with a nuerological disorder called transverse myelitis. Took away the nerves in my legs. Went from walking to wheelchair in four months. But am in full recovery mode. Lost the cane last week. Just got back from three-days in Ventura. Walked the boardwalk and pier. The good Lord is looking over me these days. Helping me rebuild and get ready for what lies ahead. So, bring it on. That which does not kill us makes us stronger.

Date a soulmate from United States. Okay, here goes: I'll take humor (humour) and brains over beauty all the time. But, or course, there's nothing wrong with beauty either! I still believe the brain is by far the sexiest part of the body.
My age really is 57, but I look younger. Good DNA. Both my parents still look great. And no, I don't look old enough to have grand-kids, but I do. The pictures are very recent. And yes, I'm 5'9". I was told a lot of men lie about their height. Kind of hard to hide your height if we ever meet, isn't it? Kind of like the "recent picture" thing. Speaking of pictures - if all of your pictures are of you wearing hats and sunglasses, those aren't really pictures. They're called disguises! And no more pictures from 100 yards away! Please stop. I've also found out (through experience) that a lot of women fudge their age a bit. That's okay, just let me know up front.
The basics: Still have all my own hair and teeth. Not a convicted felon. Not a stalker (that's way too much work!). No restraining orders. No prison time. Not on parole. I know what deodorant and cologne are and I'm not afraid to use them. Shower daily (sometimes more, depending on how much work I'm doing). Have a valid driver's license and my own vehicles. I've done plenty of corporate and political functions, so you can dress me up and take me places, and I won't embarrass you in public. I clean up well. However, I prefer a nice shirt and jeans. Like anything outdoors, water, camping (have my own camper - no tents!), motorcycles, cars, boats, sports, the water, love traveling, etc. Like good wine and good beer (not much of a bar fly or lounge lizard). Worked in the Hi-tech world for 30 years, so I've seen the whole evolution of technology in our world. No I'm not a geek, but I still know my way around the keyboard pretty well.
Like working with my hands. Had my own handyman business for awhile. Very therapeutic and a great stress reliever.
If you're looking for a partner in crime and have a great sense of humor, I'm you're guy. I prefer women who are witty and able to hold a conversation. Looks will only get you so far. I mean really. How many times have you met a gorgeous person (man or woman) and then they open their mouth, and all of a sudden they're not so hot? Me too. Must be able to laugh at yourself. Sarcasm is tolerated and expected.
If you're looking for a knight in shining armor - I ain't that guy. My armor has more than it's share of dents and dings, along with some rust spots. The joints also get creaky once in awhile. I've fallen off the horse a lot (which is really tough on the armor), but I've always managed to climb back on and keep going (was it me or the horse?). If I were a car, I'd be "High mileage, but well maintained, with regular tune-ups. Still has good tires and wheels. Brakes might need a little work - doesn't slow down when it should.". Still have all of my original equipment and upholstery (hair). No replacements, enhancements, or artificial ingredients.
Overall, I'm pretty low maintenance and easy going.
Oh - and I can still see my toes when I look down......pretty proud of that. I don't have my six pack anymore, but I don't have a 12 pack either (not even close!!).
