I'm a little shy at first but get over it as I get to know someone better.(I know, it sounds like my mom wrote this).
I am totally self sufficient. I am a pseudo-gourmet cook, I do the laundry, the ironing,as well as cleaning up after myself. For 24 years I have worked all day and done these things when I got home.( I can't believe she left me either). On the manlier side of things, I can weld, build,farm,do yard work(mowing is ok but I hate the rest),operate machinery. I can do a little bit of anything.
As far as my hobbies go, I'm a serious fisherman(I always dreamed of doing it professionally) and love to hunt. I enjoy camping, 4-wheeler riding and cooking for others. I can play golf reasonably well,tennis, and most other sports. I love weekend getaways for fun or romance. I work four days a week so I always have a three day weekend. I ride bikes for exercise. I almost forgot, tequila shots and wild sex rank up there pretty high also. I do enjoy a woman's friendship and hanging around them. I love most kinds of music and can sing just like Bob Seger, Eddie Vedder, Vince Gill or whoever else is playing on my I-pod when I'm alone in my truck. When I watch TV, it is usually sports or comedies.
My favorite places are Florida beaches, Colorado ski resorts, Venice(Louisiana, not Italy), and most any place outdoors. I am equally at home in the big cities as well every once in a while. I love sports, and I am a season ticket holder for my favorite college team. (Go Hogs)
I wish I had written this a few months earlier,prior to turning 50! I recently had my 50th birthday but most say I look 40, I feel like i'm 30 and think I'm in my twenties. I am in pretty good shape, I don't have a pot belly or love handles. I have most of my hair but my hairline is receding a little but not yet enough for me to panic.
I am well educated and the universities I attended deemed me intelligent. I also think that I am very knowledgable in many subjects and full of trivia.I can carry on a intelligent conversation, but i'm not a very confident speller. In spite of this, I am not a geek or nerd,I'm a regular guy.
I am always clean and groomed. I don't mind getting dirty but I don't like to stay dirty.I never have BO or stinky feet. I try to dress fairly stylishly

What kind of girl am I looking for? I think I will know when I find her. She has to be very special to me because I will treat her like she is. I'm not interested in self centered people or users. I was married to my high school sweetheart for 27 years. I was totally faithful and 100% committed to our marriage. I thought life was great but it all came crashing down in the blink of an eye. One last little tidbit about me, I’m a country boy at heart but have lived all over the country. Grew up in farm country and I have also lived in New York City (Brooklyn Heights – about 200 yards from the Brooklyn Bridge). I’ve learned to find things that I enjoy, no matter where I live… Maybe we can find some new things here in this area!?!

I believe a sense of humor is mandatory. Laughter can heal and there's humor in everything. I'm often quiet but I do get quite animated when talking about the things I love and my beliefs. I'm a very sensitive person and I try to be aware if others sensitivity too. I have a weird schedule as I do a lot if on-call computer repair and late night gigging around town when the opportunity arises. I've been lucky enough to have extra time to relax so I take advantage if that whenever possible.
The other thing that I think is important is an open mind. Periodically I make a point to investigate things that I previously hadn't thought about or things that are contradictory to my core beliefs. I watch Fox News to see what the other side is up to. I also listen to NPR, rock music, country, blues, classical music, 60's pop, swing, jazz and soul music.
I like to go thrift store spelunking, I like old stuff- cars, guitars, furniture, houses, clothes, art, music, etc... I think I was born in the 40's or 50's in a former life : )
I've been a hobbiest music collector since I was a kid. Im constantly searching for cassettes, CDs, vinyl, and 45's of all types of music to explore. I sell or trade them from time to time to thin the collection.
Some of the artists I like are all blues, Muddy Waters, RL Burnside, Howlin Wolf, Son House, etc. I grew up listening to Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, the Beatles, Kansas, etc. I'm more interested in listening to blues, jazz and classical music today.
I enjoy teaching guitar, I've been doing it for many years and the best part is watching a beginner progress over time and watching their enjoyment. Many if them have gone on to play in bands and that makes me feel good.
I'm sometimes moody but, mostly upbeat and quiet until I get on a rant. I'm very passionate about things, outspoken, focused. I hate to stop before I'm finished with my project.

I like TV shows like Chelsey Lately and Breaking Bad. The humor juxtaposed against the drama is what got me hooked. I also like American Pickers because I think its really cool how people make a living out of other people's trash (it's what I do in a way).
I'm very focused, sometimes too much but I know what I want to do when I'm working on a project, song or band. I prefer women who are extroverted but not outrageously so.
