I am an optimist and have been told that I am often happy for no reason. I just choose to see the positive things in life and actively avoid harboring unhealthy thoughts. Life is simply too short not to enjoy the ride.
I have the curious mind of a scientist, but the heart of an artist. So while I am very logical, rational, and pragmatic, I tend to look at things through rose colored glasses. I can find beauty in anything.
I am skeptical, very open minded. I enjoy music, but can’t dance or play an instrument. I love animals, but I am unfortunately allergic to cats. I’m much more of a dog person anyway.
I am not political. I consider myself neither a republican, nor a democrat. I am a free thinker. I am fiscally conservative, but tend to be socially liberal. I believe in helping those in need, but not in giving anyone a free ride.
I have almost no temper. The only thing that really gets me angry is cruelty to animals and abuse of women and children. I guess that is the protector in me coming out. I can’t stand to see anyone getting picked on or hurt. That’s not to say I am not passionate about other issues. I just have a healthy respect for other people’s feelings and opinions.
I am a great listener and am adept at expressing myself. I have been told many times that I would make a good therapist.
I make friends easily, but prefer to keep only a few close ones.
I am physically healthy, but truth be told, I could stand to lose ten pounds. I take no medications. I enjoy cycling and hiking, but my normal fitness routine consists of walking about eight miles every morning before work. I use this time to either reflect on my life or listen to audio books while watching the sun rise on each new day.
