About me - the sequel...?
I am romantic, passionate… blah, have a great sense of humor, blah, blah… am healthy, fit, enjoy exercising, blah, blah, blah… blah. Pretty much like every other guy looking to secure your attentions for a few minutes (or longer). What many of those guys won’t tell you (up front) is the bad stuff. Surprise!! I like bugs. But like my father before me… I can take out a Black Widow spider with just my thumb and forefinger. Sometimes I cuss (mostly just around other guys). When I get surprised AND embarrassed (has to be both together at the same time), I will automatically go on the offensive. It can be pretty ugly. Fortunately, that precise combination doesn’t happen very often. I am almost always super sorry after only a few minutes… but I might not say so... right away. (Important TIP - if this ever happens, and you want to speed up the whole apology process... pretend to look real sad and act like you might start to cry... I'll be all over that in a flash). I love scary movies and enjoy action films in abundance. I try to stay away from the romantic comedy, or so-called “chick flicks”. Why? Well… it’s because I cry. (Can we please just call it "weep"?) Those predictable sappy/happy endings are simply too heart wrenching for me. I don’t like bawl ner nothin’ like that… but a couple of those little tears will start to leak down at the corners of my eyes and then I will have to lean forward so nobody sitting beside me can tell. (It's probably just some kinda weird un-guy thing I picked up somewhere... prob'ly some sorta virus) Action movies are just easier on everyone. Hey, nobody ever sheds a tear when the hero kills the villain at the end. There's this other thing too... I am always joking around with EVERYONE. I mean, cashiers, wait staff, strangers I encounter in the parking lot, people who just seem waaayy too serious (and probably have every right to be)… pretty much everyone. Some people get annoyed. I could (and probably should) go on… but it’s mostly more stuff like that.
Historical Highlights: Military service (Maj.) (including overseas), Peace Corps Volunteer (Central America), ALJ/Hearing Officer (USDA), lots (and lots) of other stuff. Hey... I'm eclectic.
Physical Facts: I'm 5'11"/169 lbs - within the so-called "ideal" range on most height/weight charts

My name is BOB....very easy to remember as it spelled the same forward and backward...BOB-BOB! LOL
Now a little about myself. I am honest...sometimes to a fault, please do not ask me if I like your dress...that got me in trouble with a past acquaintance. I am an intelligent individual, with a strong work ethic. Not very good with being idle. As a child my mother at times, called me PEP-MO! Short for perpetual motion. If you are searching for a couch potato, you looking at the wrong guy. I have just finished a forty year career, as an airline captain....a job that I truly loved. I dreamed of flying since the age of seven and achieved my goal of not ever really working. LOL! Never had to drag myself out of bed to go to work, as flying was a different adventure every day. I was truly blessed! Now in retirement, I have been able to continue my dream on a part time basis. I May fly to Hungary later this month to ferry a airplane back to the USA.
Also, I am patriotic, proud of our military and have little respect for the current regime that is running (ruining) our Nation. I believe this statement will eliminate at least one-half of the women on this website. See! Honesty saves on future drama.
For entertainment, I travel to Panama where I keep an apartment. I detest cold weather, and yes Payson is too cold for me during the winter months. I just hate it when my teeth chatter! Brrrrr! Then again, I have no one to keep me warm. Did I mention that I love to travel and I have been around the world at least twice. I want to circumnavigate the third planet from the sun one more time. I want to visit those out of the way places that I missed on past excursions. I love Bavaria, Austria and Switzerland and have now developed a fondness for Central and South America. In particular Panama, Columbia and Argentina. I also have an attraction for Bolivia...not sure why. Maybe, it was Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid! Loved that movie!
Furthermore, I have built two houses, by hand and I love remodeling projects, as long as there are no timeframe pressure to complete. I do excellent work and excellence cannot be rushed! Also, I restore old cars, and just completed one that I have owned since 1978. It is beautiful, if I say so myself. Love to ride motorcycles! Very therupudic. Must warm and sunny. Got caught in blizzard on ride back from Prescott last fall and damn near froze to death. You already know how I love the cold.
On the fitness scene, I play tennis when injuries permit...just had injection in left knee...seems to work okay. I try to attend the health club twice per week and if not I have home workout equipment. Love to go camping, but honestly, I have not gone in several years. Just do not have the time. Probably should slow down, but you know...it is the Pep-Mo thing! I enjoy all sports and have tried them all sometime during my life.
I have one son, Chris who is 28, who just packed it in, quit his job and moved to Nashville to pursue his dream of becoming a nationally renowned guitarist. Played with a national band and many popular female singers in Phoenix. Opened for Eric Church two months ago at the Marquee theater. I know he will have great success...because like his pop, he follows his passion and not the paycheck. In my humble opinion, that is the only way to achieve true success??
Well, in a nutshell amigas! This is who I am! Easygoing, down to earth, hard working and honest. Remember ladies, age is just a number. When you meet me, you will see that I appear and act much younger than my birth certificate indicates.
