During the summer you can usually find me in a river either kayaking or fly fishing. In the winter I'm snowmobiling or snowboarding sometimes both. I love going on new adventures and exploring mountain and new areas. Going to the beaches is fun, but I discovered that you can surf in Colorado last summer and now I'm hooked. I have a great job that I enjoy but it requires me to travel a lot to Montana. But it also allows me to travel on my 10 days off every month.
I like tasting new microbrews and going to Great American Fest. My current favorite is 471 from Breckenridge Brewery and hopper ale from Madison creek. One of these days I would like to start brewing my own beer.

I grew up in Longmont Colorado, went to Colorado State University and enjoyed my four years in Fort Collins before moving to Denver and then Parker after college.
My two primary hobbies are playing tennis and reading. I started playing tennis when I was 16 and have rarely put the racket down since then. My geeky pleasure is reading, I was a good student in school but never a great one. But due to that I developed some different philosophies when it came to learning. I stopped focusing purely on my grade at the end of the semester and started focusing on if I was actually smarter or more knowledgable after studying. I really enjoyed this philosophy and learning became much more interesting to me. So even though most people's learning ends with collge my studies have continued since then. I studied Finance and Economics and these are areas that seem to be more natural for me but I try to branch out to other topics as well.

My name is Dan, and thank you for checking out my profile :-) I'm 28, however I believe in living life to the fullest, and taking care of myself, so I only feel like i'm about 18 lol. I work in the Law enforcement field, and have been doing it for nearly seven years (basically as long as i've been of age). Prior to the Law enforcement field, I worked Fire and EMS, and earned my EMT basic certificate, as well as completing the firefighter I course. So while I don't have a PHD or even a bachelors, i've done quite a bit in the public service field, and gained tons of knowledge and good life experience.
With all of that said, i'll move onto the good stuff. I believe in constantly challenging myself, both physically and mentally, as to not become stagnant. I like to work hard, and play harder. In my free time, especially during the summer, you will likely find me West of the metro area, in the hills, doing anything from camping, to 4wheeling (in my Jeep), and everything in between. My number one passion however, is working out, and being healthy, because without that I wouldn't be able to enjoy many of the things I enjoy, plus it just feels good lol. I'm definitely a man's man, handy and can fix just about anything with the right tools. I'm not afraid to get dirty, for work or play. On the other hand, while i'm not fixing things, I can also hold my own in the kitchen, and enjoy doing so (I make a mean salsa lol). The type of person i'm looking for, is goal oriented, and relatively grounded as far as career and life in general, is concerned. I realize everything starts out as "dating", however you need to have a somewhat specific idea of what your looking for in a match.
