Meet single man from Arizona, United States. My life is lived with passion. The things I do are done for enjoyment of life, there are no limits to what I might do but for jumping out of a perfectly good airplane or climbing a cliff. I cannot do those things. I like to travel and want to do so all over the country in preference to out of the country. I am a "quest" person and will explain further if you are interested.
My preferences are not set in concrete. Nothing in my life is. This picture is not very recent but I still look much the same, maybe 15 pounds heavier. Working on that--shortly after this was taken I went thorugh a number of problems. Will not bore you with them. Suffice to say I was out of commission in every way for about a year and a half. After that it has taken me a number of years to get back to what I considered normal at the time--fully recovered from everything--just have had to fight weight since then. No physical ailments left. No disabilities ever. I am a lemons to lemonade person at this time of my life and I will conquer this weight problem. Its just a matter of time. No heart problems, just had a stress test recently, no blood problems, give blood every month to help cancer patients fight their fight along with either red cells or plasma. That is my "volunteer" activity at this age--did so much when I was younger that all I can do now is donate to some worthy causes, do a little work with the Elks and give blood.
I love golf, music, travel, almost any sport, love to listen to the roar of big engines in Winston Cup cars but never have attended a race--I used to drive race cars in the desert--loved it, always said it was the most fun you could have outside a bedroom--well you understand. But life takes a little bit of your reflexes away, makes it more difficult for you to concentrate long enough to drive several hundred miles at high speeds on rough roads. The life I lead now is much too sedentary but I find it hard to motivate myself to take off for Ruidoso or some other place in nearby states, much less drive across the country and back as I did in 2010, when I am not involved in a relationship. Would like a traveling companion, a best friend, a lover, a person of great knowledge and ability to teah me new things daily as I will for her, a challenge when she wants to be, an adjunct to my hand, my arm when she wants to be, a person who loves me to touch her lovingly at any time of day, wherever we may be, appropriately of course. Would love to have that person and I stay in that mode for the rest of our time on earth.

Date someone special from United States. I'm a Parkinson's sufferer, it manifests itself only by a stooped walk .Since exercise hals the effects i should be straight again within a year. Look at it this way, i alwaysget the prime parking spots. other than that , everything still works. I just tend tio laugh it off, in fact I am a haooy guy who laughs a lot .If I find a partner, I am true, no wandering eyes for me, love and passion stay at home. I'm not the greatest wordsmith, but the right person will get the meaning.

Meet a soulmate from United States. Curious? Good! Thanks for taking a peek. This venue is relatively new to me, somewhat awkward to use, and a little intimidating. But, it's alot better than the odds of meeting you anywhere else, or throwing bottles with notes into the ocean or cyberspace.
I've been living in the SE Valley (Ahwatukee) for the past 7 yrs, having grown up in the Amish country of Penn and spending most of my adult life in New England.
In my profile, I have tried to include only up-to-date information and have posted recent photos that hopefully reflect something about who I am, what I look like, and some of my on-going interests. The photos taken in Scotland (obvious?) are a bit over 2 years ago (ancestry is Scotch/Irish with a little German sneaking in the back door). The photo with the canine (Andrew Lloyd Webber...aka "Webbie"... a Gordon Setter) was taken at my cottage on a lake in southern New Hampshire (sold recently because of the huge difficulties in traveling to and from there with him); we do pet therapy at schools, hospitals, nursing homes, etc. He allows me to accompany him as he needs a designated driver. The other canine pix is Webbie's litter sister, who was a winner in breed at the Westminster Dog Show (seen film "Best in Show"?). The photo (with Parrot) was taken in Rocky Point, MX. One daughter is a flight attendant - the other a Nurse Practitioner who sets up mini medical clinics in pharmacies. They both have become wonderful adults with independent, free-spirited minds and strong social consciousness.
About myself, can I give you a glimpse w/o all the usual positive adjectives - although I am, of course, most of them (so says my canine companion), and, I'm not just that sure how much they really reveal anyway. I do consider myself as grounded, well balanced, and fun to be with (not looking to "find myself" -hopefully, I did that a few years back). I can be fairly literate and witty when necessary, take care of my mind and body (5'10" - 170 to 175 lbs - depending on season), maintain a healthy life style, drink responsibility, and have a "far side" type sense of humor (dry and irreverent - Mel Brook films?). I enjoy similar qualities in women, especially verbal, witty, and assertive women who can take and come back, appreciate good satire, and are not afraid of answering a question with another question. Perhaps I am asking alot...but do feel that I can offer as much in return.
Now retired and doing what I didn't have the time to do when in academia ... moving closer to family and pursuing a different life style. Since life is soo short, I am looking for a spunky, reasonably trim, and interesting (perhaps artistic) woman with an adventurious spirit and positive outlook on life, who can initiate intelligent conversation, enjoys bantering, and "is not terrified of her age, or mine" (I lifted this quote from a profile I read - I love it!). You will need to be comfortable with 85lbs of canine baggage, although, thankfully, he is the only serious stuff, beyond what all people come with who have lived a life of experiences. Can I assume that you have many of the positive qualities people say they have, and that your photos are recent and representative. Lastly, I much prefer to interact face to face with whoever might be willing to take a chance on me. I am not at all enthusiatic about processing Match-type stuff through entensive emails. I much prefer to make contact to determine mutual interest, have a phone chat and make the necessary arrangements, and then meet. Let's take a chance, have a causal coffee/wine, and hopefully know pretty quickly if it is something we want to pursue further. I can go with the flow (usually) and cope with whatever comes (mostly). If you think in similar ways, we will click! That's less then 4000 characters.
