I have a couple of old Chevys ('69 El Camino and '72 Monte Carlo) that I've had for 36 years. Once, they were going to be one of my retirement projects. Being a mechanical engineer, one might think I'd be really into working on the cars. But I've kind of lost interest. Kind of like the landscaper whose yard looks like trash, or the painter whose house hasn't been painted in years. My oldest son (33 years old) has started restoring the El Camino, but is also gradually losing interest. It's a big job.
So, now, I have two old Chevys sitting in the driveway. They are family heirlooms, so I won't get rid of them. I've had inquiries. My ex and I each drove them for about 20 years, then the kids drove them through high school and college. My oldest son wants to be buried in the El Camino; he loves it.
It would be nice to meet a lady who has her own interests to share and would maybe enjoy riding in an old Chevy. That might inspire me to get with it and get these cars on the road again. That's not a requirement, just something different to do.

I got a divorce from my second wife in 2000, and have been single ever since. I moved to Tucson in Jan. of 2004. After moving down here, I stayed idle for about a year and a half. I played a lot of tennis and hike, biked, swam, and lead seminars for Landmark Education Corporation (LEC). I was a seminar leader for 13 years. In 2005 I started to do substitute teaching for TUSD, and now in my fourth year. I mostly sub for grades K- 4th grades.
