Date men and women from United States / Arizona / Green Valley, 70 year old

Date someone special from Green Valley, United States. Photos 7-14 are recent. I'm emotionally available (I have enjoyed life much the better after letting my feminine side out, the playful artistic compassionate insightful, emotionally powerful side), passport ready, humorous, straight forward, former Navy diver (explosive ordnance disposal) in Vietnam, outdoor lover (photo planting 18,000 trees on my farm). I don't have a cell phone.
I like to walk in beauty.
I like alone time and together time, each makes the other better. It's more the relationship than the activity. I like to connect and let the infinite paths of unconscious communication do what they will. I am looking for new friends to a life partner (It depends on what grows naturally out of our interaction) for mutual exploring and enlightenment, for co-adventuring, for reading (I love reading together. It is intimacy and aloneness with the written page at the same time), for the visual and performing arts, for thunder storms, birding, hiking and rock climbing, and for sharing vulnerabilities and passions of body and soul. In a perfect world I like educated women with active minds, good hearts, a sense of adventure and generousity of spirit. If they are smarter than me that's fine. If chemistry happens all requirements go out the window.

Meet a soulmate from Green Valley, United States. Okay ... time to admit that I am once again single and serious about finding someone with whom I can share a lot of smiles or just some quiet conversation over a cup of good coffee (or a glass of wine would work as well).
One of the great joys I get out of life is teaching. I taught high school history and mathematics but now I teach/lecture on a varity of topics at church and/or conferences. I'm certainly not a professorial type ... just enjoy sharing knowledge and motivating others to learn. I also gain great pleasure in volunteering to help those in need, both human and animal.
I grew up in Illinois and California but spent most of my adult life in Illinois where I was a hgih school teacher and administrator. I truly loved working with youth and that carried over even after I retired. I became deeply involved in working with a student organization called Key Club, a Kiwanis sponsored service organization for high school youth. I am, today, the District Administrator (a volunteer postion) for Key Clubs in Arizona and New Mexico, a job which keeps me active and involved. Through Key Club I was invited to help design a leadership training program for high school youth that eventually became Key Leader, an internationally recognized program to teach servant leadership to young people. This is one of the signature achievements in my career.
That's enough of the nerdy stuff about me. I love to go to the Gaslight Theater in Tucson, a throwback to the days of melodrama with a great dose of cheering the hero and booing the villan (and even a pizza and glass of beer to go along with it). I enjoy going to La Roca restaurant in Nogales, Sonora and have a great Mexican meal and margarita with good friends; then just walking down the street and visiting the shops there. I like an occasional movie; usually action/adventure types but have to admit that I also end up at some that do make me shed a tear and am not embarrassed to admit it. I have also come to enjoy a morning walk with my dog Shadow. She is a beautiful Siberian who is very demanding but also very independent and that's a good thing. Many days will also find me volunteering at my church; I am deeply into some of the techy type of stuff to support the church; designing power point presentations and working our new high tech lighting programming. But, I have to admit that I spend a lot of time at the computer, probably too much but it offers a great way to explore and communicate. Oops ...that sounds like more nerdy stuff; on to other topics.
I hope to find someone who likes to share conversation and smiles. A good sense of humor and openness and honesty are very important to me. I would also like someone who would think that getting in a motorhome and taking off to explore the country with no idea of where we were headed is an interesting idea; maybe even with a plan that is no more exact than tossing a coin to decide which direction we head next and I will even provide the coin. As I travel I really enjoy looking for out of the way museums to visit. Ever been to the SPAM Museum in Minnesota? It's worth a stop.
So, I am open to buying a cup of coffee or even a latte. All you have to do is bring the smiles.

Date single man from Green Valley, United States. I'm an easy going older guy. Life's too short to not enjoy it, and I seek a partner who can make me laugh (it's usually not hard to do). I would like to make you proud that you are with me (that may be more difficult).
While I enjoy staying home, watching TV and reading, I also love to travel to places I've never been, and explore the people and places I find.
I hope you would be attractive and adventurous, happy and humorous and look forward to meeting you.
