Alright, so I realize that there is no protocol when it comes to conversations on Match. There is however, I would imagine, some sense of decency and consideration so I will just throw this out there; when someone sends you an e-mail via Match, are you the kind of person to respond? Regardless of whether this e-mail is flirtatious, an information gatherer, someone simply saying they like one of your pics, or any number of reasons one might contact you, do you feel inclined to respond? I am only curious because I have sent numerous messages to whom I consider possible matches and have had very few responders. I mean, I am not hideous, I have a job, I have multiple means of transportation, I am active, creative, sincere, considerate, and for the most part that nice guy with a streak of bad boy that makes me fun. I have a fun sense of humor as opposed to a mean one; I am curious, creative, and intellectual. At work my peers appreciate and like me and I am a loyal friend. I am particular with whom I choose to approach, flirt with, or introduce to my son. I am cautious and wary; I watch for red flags but like many people do not always run from them. I see the ugly in our world but try to look for the beauty. Now if you are still reading, well … I don’t know what that means other than here you are and here I am, two individuals on Match looking for someone who will be honest and love us. If you choose to respond to me or not, good luck in your endeavors for love and seeking a partner.
Who am I? I can fit into most any crowd from skinny-dippers to the opera, from the rodeo to biker bars. I am very comfortable in my own skin. I strive to carry no prejudice and not be judgmental. Like anyone else, I like to have fun but believe that responsibilities come first. Life has a way of changing on a dime so as much as I may plan life’s' strategies, I am always ready to adjust to situational needs or even start from scratch. My son is under the impression I can fix or build anything, I like that. He likes to work with me on home projects to learn how I do it, I am very proud of him.
I always thought I was kind of quiet but I have yet to find a friend to agree with me on that. SoI like to talk, who doesn’t! I mean, I have the need to express opinions, debate, reasoning and logic, and ok feelings etc., and sometimes I can be so damned funny lol. I love stimulating conversation and look for the same in a companion.
I can be relaxed digging in the garden, working on a remodeling project, having a night on the town, or watching TV. I love to cook; very seldom do I follow the recipe, kind of how I live life, without a recipe. Ok, ok… so nobody has a recipe for life, but if there was one I would still not follow it. The ingredients I like to keep in my life are good and healthy foods, exercise and fitness, peace of mind, new experiences, connection to the outdoors, family fun, and above all else, love. The most inspirational person in my life is my 12 year old son. He has taught me unconditional love and has been an incredible source of strength and perseverance when I needed it. He predominantly lives with me but also spends plenty of time with his mother and has a great relationship with her, as do I
The main thing I look for in a relationship is mutual consideration and respect. This mutually considerate person will be aware of anyone and everyone affected by their actions or inactions. I believe in equality, it doesn’t matter who makes more money or who thinks they have the more demanding job, what happens in the relationship and in the household, the work involved in keeping it all together and harmonious should be equally managed by both. This is where communication is so relevant; the right hand needs to know what the left hand is
