Meet men and women from Bonita, United States. Hi there! Thanks for reading my profile. I'm relatively new to this online dating thing...I'm not sure I get it. I'll update more of my profile as time permits. I'm not necessarily looking for my "soulmate" (that would be a bonus) but, hopefully, someone that I enjoy spending time with. I've become comfortable spending time by myself recently, but I miss having someone to hang out with sharing laughs, good food and wine!
As I'm reading the questions that Match encourages me to answer, I realize I hate writing these things. How would my close friends describe me? Hmmmm. Funny? Honest? Opinionated? Oops, did I just say opinionated? My very best friend says I'm an inspiration to her...it's flattering, but I don't see it that way. I'd give you the details, but they'd be better left for an in-person conversation :-). I've heard I'm not so great at taking a compliment...working on that! I will admit I'm easily amused and I love a few tacky/nerdy things like infomercials...I've been known to laugh out loud at some of them.
As for my social life, I'd say it's varied. I'm not big into the club/bar scene, but I don't mind it every so often. I'm all about trying new things right now, so I'm up for just about anything.
Speaking of which, I don't mind if you have desert/river toys, but I am not impressed by them. I'd like to do some of that river/desert stuff maybe. Unfortunately, if that's all you have in your photos (this includes photos of your car or your motorcycle), I may not be interested. Oh, and where photos are concerned...the bathroom mirror photos & photos where you've cropped out your ex leave much to be desired.

The most important aspect of my life is my relationship with Jesus. That being said, it is important that you also have a dynamic personal relationship with Christ. I'm far from perfect but am hoping to meet someone with the same heart who wants a partner for "the journey."
I was born in Mexico but immigrated to the US at age six. I've lived in San Diego most of my life except when I decided to head to the east coast for grad school. Although I liked the snowy days in Boston, all my family was in San Diego and were a stronger magnet then the prospect of living in the snow!!
My down time is usually spent enjoying friends, family, movies, cafes, Sea World, the zoo, museums, reading, theater, regular workouts (4-6 x's/wk), cooking and long drives on a rainy day.
I LOVE amusement parks... and would love to share other fun activities with you like skydiving, riding a motorcycle, hiking, picnics, short trips to San Francisco or sitting somewhere watching the sunset as we enjoy Ben & Jerry ice cream or Godiva's dark chocolate with raspberry filling!!.

Meet people from United States. I've been told that I sound too "serious" in my profile. I have no idea what that means but just in case, I've purchased a book of jokes and the complete set of "the 3 stooges" on dvd. (Actually I prefer Abbott and Costello to the 3 stooges but you get the idea). Really, how serious can I be ? I've also been told many times now that I'm much more attractive than my pictures. Take that for what its worth I guess...
So, if you haven't given up on me yet:
I'm not an extreme person, but I did get scuba certified and i think doing so says something about who I am. I did it with a girlfriend, in part because I love to travel and it would be a great thing to be able to do in a lot of locations. I also did it because the idea has always terrified me. But I didn't want to be scared of it and miss out on some wonderful things. I made it through the classes, pool dives and 5 ocean dives. There were a few times I didn't think I could do it and it took everything I had to not make a run for it. There was also the mask and snorkel in the shower incident but that story takes a lot more explanation than you want to read here. So, I did it, and while I don't think cold water diving is my thing, I'm not terrified anymore and I look forward to a warm-water dive vacation. I also took an Aerial Silks class - one of those Cirque du Soleil things - twisting and hanging in these silk curtains - pretty cool to try for a while, but I don't think I'll be running away to join the circus anytime soon.
I love to travel - did Costa Rica about 2 years ago (absolutely loved it) and hit NYC with my son last fall (we also hit a home Steelers game in Pittsburgh (awesome) - and want to plan a trip to Greece and/or Italy for next fall. I like to go anywhere that includes beautiful sights, a lot of things to do, and really good food. I never mind a lot of walking, since I also like to get lots of exercise !
I'm into sports, epecially football. My 17 year old and I spend a lot of Sundays watching his fantasy players and the Steelers - his favorite team.
I started out in Finance, but went into teaching about 9 years ago, to somehow give back, since I've been pretty lucky in life. It wasn't my thing - although the kids were great - a lot of funny stories in those years. I've been back in Finance for a little over a year now - love my job and the company I work for. I'm really happy I switched back.
My deep, dark secret is that I'm a lousy cook. However, I think I'm trainable if the training involves music and wine. Of course with the right teacher and enough wine, I figure, who really cares how dinner comes out !
