Life is to be enjoyed, appreciated... embraced for the good times and the tough times. The good and bad make us who we are, and I don't know about you, but I wouldn't trade any of it. My life is and has been good, and the tough times have helped make me who I am. And I like who I am. I live compassionately toward others and the planet, enjoy exercising my mind and body, and relish fun.
I have a well-developed sense of humor, light and easy manner, a kind heart, and a deep and reflective intellect. Confident and secure enough to admit (heh heh) that I’m a walking bundle of contradictions: I grew up in (and love) San Diego, but live in Alaska and love it; love where I live, but am considering a move. I’m an idealist, yet pragmatic and focused. I’m kind and compassionate, but will roll up my sleeves and take on the playground bully. I’m urban-scene-like social, but also love downtime and evenings in. I live a life filled with complications (mainly work related), but relish a more simplified life. I'm candid and truthful, but I know when it's better to be silent.
Yes, I also have baggage. Don’t we all at this age? But I wear it well, and refuse to burden others with it. I expect a potential partner to have the self-awareness and stability of mind to share this attitude.

- being there for friends
- walks along the beach at sunset and into nightfall, pauses for intimate moments lying on the sand away from public view
- doing the right thing.... even when it causes myself hardship.
- sitting at a pub with friends, my partner next to me, both of us engaged in the conversation, but a silent connection that we're both constantly aware of. A toe rubbing my calf.
