I am looking to see who is out here and need to look in the paper to what is going on in town. I have been up here over 30 years.
Meet someone special from Alaska, United States. I am looking for someone to spend some time with, but not all the time. I want to spend time fishing, boating, hiking, walking, possibly dancing. I like the water and the mountains. I like Homelife, but am not a domestic Goddess, or a Diva! My partner/date should like to be active and not a couch potato. I am active in my community and volunteer.
I am retired and trying to build my retirement home . I retired after 36 years in the Army (medical officer and logistics) and 6 years in law enforcement (14 on paper). After being on the road the last ten years, living a hectic life of training deploying troops, I am trying to take time for myself and learn how to relax. I originally wanted to open a Natural Medicine clinic on the Kenai, but now want to spend more time enjoying life!
I enjoy walking, hiking, working out (when I have the time), gardening, fishing, used to hunt, enjoy shooting. (used to shoot expert on the range with the Army and Law enforcement). I enjoy reading, and doing needlework, quilting and sewing in the winter months. I want to do more traveling, and would love to have a travel companion (It is always more fun when you have some one to share the memories with). I love Nature, and Absolutely Love Alaska!
I have two sons that are grown and live on their own, and successful in their own lives. Now that I am in Alaska full time/permanently, I do not get to see them as much as I would like, but, Hey, that is life.
I am an independent individual that does not need to be taken care of, but would love to find someone to be that special person, companion, my best friend, confidant, and see what else life has to offer us. Some day, after my traveling is done, I will get a dog, but do not want to put them in the kennel when I am gone. Cats are mmore independent, so can be alone for a few days.
I love a good cup of coffee and love my teas as well. I love snuggling by the fire under a nice blanket or quilt (maybe one I have made). I like to cook and bake and would love to have someone to share my meals with, at home or out on the town.
