Well just to give you a little bit of insight into me ~ I love to laugh/smile, loyal, fun, competitive (just ask my family), loves music.....and that's just a few, there is so much more to me. I am super close to my family and have good mid-western values. I have 3 brothers and 1 sister, so just because I like girlie things doesn't mean I can't hang with the big boys :-)! I love to break people's perception of what they think I can or can't do.

I enjoying being active, doing activities like skiing, hiking, paragliding. I am also perfectly content to watch a movie and enjoy a nice dinner with a glass of wine. I like to try and get out camping during the summer months. I enjoy photography and find Alaska a beautiful studio for taking photos. I enjoy traveling and wish I could get away more often. My dream trip would be to visit the Azores, but there are many other places in the world I would like to see. After living/traveling through Thailand for 6 months with my 2 children, we've returned to Alaska and settling in Girdwood...(No, this doesn't mean I can be your 'grass' hook-up... not my style, but cheers!). It's a great community with tons of stuff to do out in nature. I am a passionate woman when it comes to life, love, laughter and loyalty. I'm not at a new chapter in my life ~ I'm writing a whole new book... and embracing every moment of it ~ both the easy and difficult. Life is not perfect, it is an ongoing balancing act, and I have learned to enjoy the process of balancing... of finding and creating balance rather than expecting it. Trying to learn how to take things slow, relax, allow life to happen ~~ but I often jump into things both feet without looking, and live life full throttle, and go after things I want. I am driven by my gut feelings... not always logical, but true. As I said, it's an ongoing act of trying to find balance, and I love it.
I don't think I'll put any limitations or qualifiers on what I'm looking for ~ I just enjoy meeting people, accepting them for who they are and what we can add to each other lives. Whatever happens ~ happens... and you never know what someone is all about, until you give them the opportunity to share themselves.

I'm a young at heart, easy on the eyes mom who loves her kids and has had her heartbroken, but really believes that people are genuinely good and wants to find the missing piece to finish her puzzle . I could do it all on my own but I would like to have a soft place to fall when I get into bed at night or when I'm having a bad day. I'm a very real down to earth person with four great kids and one beautiful step kid so whoever I meet must be an open guy with a big heart who will love me and my kids no exceptions. MY bucket list : horseback riding in mongolia, motorcycle trip in the desert, chandler lake in the brooks range, sail aound the world. I also love to fish. Sometimes staying home and having a nice dinner together and watching a movie can be fun. Am an avid reader, and movie buff, independent and foreign films, especially. Love my Java and farmer's markets.....open to suggestions. Halibut fishing and salmon fishing this summer! I Try to be on time, but can be a little late at times.
I love bicycling, skiing, camping, bird hunting, all in all I love the outdoors. I don't like bugs and snakes (yuk!). I haven't bird hunted for a while, just haven't had the opportunity to do so. When I do I must rely on someone else having a dog to go pick the birds up out of the water.

Did I mention that I am a Christian... well I am and I take my faith seriously, but I do know how to have fun too. One more thing, I am a conservative, but it is OK to agree to disagree as I do not argue over politics.
