Meet people from Eagle River, United States. I was born and raised here in Alaska but left for many years while I pursued my education. I have been lucky enough to have found a position up here and have been able to move back to this place I love and be close to the family of mine that means so much to me.
In general I count myself a very lucky man. I have a loving family around me, a group of supportive and warm hearted friends, and the opportunity to live in a place that afforded me in my childhood a level a freedom and safety rarely found in many communities today. I have also had the amazing luck to fall into a career that has made these thing possible as well as the opportunity it has provided me to help those in need, to work with some amazing people, and the resources to be able to not only help those I care about but as well as travel the world.
I consider myself a pretty easy going guy, extremely devoted to family and friends, non-judgmental with an open mind. I pride myself on my integrity and honesty is very important to me, I want to find someone that can accept me for all I am, so I see no reason to hide behind games and deception. As a result I've been told I can be blunt at times and surprisingly open about myself.
I'm on here to ultimately find someone to possible share my life with. For me that starts with meeting someone that I enjoy spending time with, a friend that can be honest with me and has an open mind to possibilities.

Date a man from Eagle River, United States. I'm fairly laid back, but serious about things I enjoy. When I'm not working for the State, I'd rather be outside climbing, skiing or tossing a fly line. Good food and beers with friends also counts as a hobby. I moved to Fairbanks in 2006, then finally made it to Anchorage last year. I''m not a post my life on the internet type of person, but I'm looking to meet people with shared interests/outlooks on life, whether its friends or other. I don't do drama and I'm looking for thoughtful, chill, girls who like the outdoors, a good movie, and who can hold an intelligent conversation. Appreciation of Thai food and fresh Tex-Mex is also a plus.

Meet someone special from Eagle River, United States. I love to treat a woman like a princess, and I love to see the look on someones face when they are having a genuinely great time. I am looking for someone to spend my spare time with and "build" a relationship with. I have not stuck by my moto very well the last couple of times and I really want to have a friend more then I want a lover. I am looking for a connection, and one that doesn't start from below my belt. I want to feel safe again with another person after having gone through relationships with women who were looking for just one thing. I am actually looking forward to meeting someone I can laugh with, and be serious with at the same time. Someone who wants to go to the comic book store to look at all of the things they never had time to really see when they were little. Go to the arcade and blow up some aliens. Someone who likes to play board games, and sing in the car, and dance in public. But I am also looking for someone to be gentle and kind, and understanding, and look to be nurtured and to nurture in return. I want someone who isn't afraid to disagree, and will challenge my ideas as my personal devils advocate. I want to be there for someone and be supportive of what they want and need, and help them build and realize their dreams too. I am looking for a friend and a partner, and I wont be disappointed if I just get a friend instead.

Date single man from Eagle River, United States. I don't have a exact match I am looking for. Sometimes the oppisite might work and then sometimes it's someone that you have things in common with so you can relate. Persoanlly I don't mind either but I have to be happy.

Meet a soulmate from Eagle River, United States. I'm an optimist. I like finding positives in life's toughest challenges. I try my hardest to always keep a positive attitude in every situation because it's healthy and makes life so much more enjoyable!
Although I love traveling, there is no place like home. I love the feeling of coming home after being away - traveling for a long time.
I'm most proud of completing my first marathon, becoming an Eagle Scout and defending my country while deployed 16 consecutive months to Iraq with the Army.
I'm grateful for my health, education and family.
I'm hoping to meet someone who values the importance of friendship in a relationship. Building a friendship with the person you're in a relationship with is one of the most rewarding experiences I've had. I'm hoping to attract someone looking for the same thing in a relationship.
While I love spending time at home, I'm always doing something social. BBQs, cooking dinners, going out for drinks, coffee, shopping etc. is way more fun to do with other people, than sitting at home alone.
Not sure what I'm looking for in a relationship, but I know when find it.

Date men and women from Alaska, United States. I'm six feet tall, brown hair, blue eyes and kind of stocky. I have custody of my two boys ages 9 and 10 and have been divorced for six years. I am looking for someone to spend time with besides my boys. I prefer a woman that is slender to a few extra pounds, but I am not naive enough to believe I'll get what I want.

Meet people from Alaska, United States. I've been in Alaska for almost 15 years and have met some great people, but haven't had as much luck dating. I'm looking for a girl who is easy going, likes to laugh, enjoys the outdoors, and is able to have a good time. I think that a person needs to be happy with him or herself and that the person that you are seeing should just add to that. I am always looking to try new things and meet new people. Definitely not in a quest to get married and settle down, but not opposed to that thought either.

Date a man from Alaska, United States. Alaska is my playground; I love to go on adventures. Crazy hikes, long wheeling trips or sliding down mountains are all things I've enjoyed. It's also been my home and sanctuary. The quiet at an alpine lake or the difficulty of traveling across massive canyons has made me wonder how many places I've been that no one has ever been before. Solitude should feel good, but I just feel alone. Just to be clear; adventures like these are always a blast, but at the end of each one, I head back to civilization wishing I had someone close to share them with.
I like doing plenty of other things too. The shelves above me hold books on architecture, revolution and even zombies! There's some vases I made years ago and some Legos that I've had for years. My dog is a great little pal and goes with me just about everywhere. Filthy Carhartts are the norm when I wrench on stuff, occasionally I get to dress swank and sometimes I do wear camouflage. I want to do some more traveling, Australia and Europe are high on the list. I know some great spots to go camping but I want to find more. I want to build a house like my grandpa taught me. I want to do these things with someone special. It's not the same fun when you can't share a great experience with someone.
Evidently, I'm "adorable" too. Not my words, but it keeps coming up!
I am looking for someone who knows she rocks and not only keep up with me, but also push me too. My friends have asked me, "How do you not have a girlfriend?!"; I love my friends. If you're a happy, interesting, confident person, I'll definitely like you. Boggle my mind, weaken my knees, drop my jaw, make me laugh, I will love you too. I hope you're nice, attractive, affectionate and full of depth and variety. If you like to cook, food works on me. I won't willingly grow 'love handles' for you though. Winks are cute and always appreciated, but I do prefer a message that tells me more about you. I am looking for a relationship without an end in sight; I need to be more than a summer tour guide or just a friend. I've missed holding someone I care about night after night, but I don't let myself be hurt by that. I've never been married, I don't play games and I'm not reckless. Going through new things together is important to me; I prefer someone without children or a previous marriage. I am not in a rush to get married or have kids, but I would like that to happen with the right person. Right now, I just want someone I will adore. I'm flexible too though; if you are the right person, well... then you are the right person. So all this in one sentence; I just need someone really good.
Here's a hint; if you keep looking for adventure, you'll find me.

Meet someone special from Alaska, United States. I like to be outside both in the summer and winter either riding snowmobiles or atv's and taking a road trip to go camping or just a day trip. I also like my job working on Blackhawk helicopters and being in the military has kept me busy for the past nine years. With me being in the military i have had the oppertunity to do lots of traveling therefore I've been to places like Germany,Austria,Croatia,Hungary,Kosovo, just to name a few.

Date single man from Alaska, United States. I am an Army Officer, and as a result I do a lot of traveling and moving. The benefit is I get to see some pretty cool things and meet a lot of interesting people. Alaska was my top choice for a duty station; I had wanted to come up here my whole life, and now I have finally made it. So far it has been a blast. I have lived all over the place, but for most my life I have lived in Oklahoma and Texas.
I guess I am looking for someone who likes to travel and try new things. I am a pretty conservative Christian. I don't expect anybody to exactly share my ideas, but if you are at least a Christian, I think we would probably get a long fine.

Meet a soulmate from Alaska, United States. Been over the world both south, east, and west, but the middle of nowhere is where I like it best. Sailed the Virgin Islands, Helped Run a Haunted Theme Park (Halloween- Thrillivania), Played with baby tigers, perform magic tricks and illusions, touring New Zealand, and still not sure where it all goes. I'm 21 originally from Oklahoma to Texas, dog mushed in Canada last winter, and now just trying to play the game of life. I know I've done stuff, but create a life to live with friends, family, and people who care was hard being on the move so much. Now I'm in Alaska, I like it here, still look to have thrills and chills, but it is wonderous to work and have a place to call home-base(although still lots of places I want to venture to and see!). It was hard to go everywhere meeting new people and faces, but never stopping long enough to really get to know somebody and open your thoughts, heart, and mind can make you miss out. Okay I can get deep, but more often then not, I am the one making the wise cracks and earning the name "dork." I love sailing and kayaking (being on the water and harnessing the power of currents, waves, and wind is still mystifying, relaxing, and just seems to be one of my zens. It is hard to meet up with people as I am not one much for the bars as I don't drink or smoke, so not really my type of venue. The friends I make and great are ones I tend to connect with and keep for a lifetime- cause sometimes friends and family are all you got. I love animals (more towards the dog-world, but cats can be just as cool in their own ways). My other big thing seems to be a wide taste of music ranging from Alternative to Rock to Celtic Rock to Indie Bands like Great Big Sea, Seven Nations, Young Dubliners, The Fables, Bruce Guthro, and whole slew of others. Bagpipes and fiddles are always good for driving. Werewolf movies (1980 and up) are always favorites. So even one reply in a million would be great.
