I lived in Alaska for almost 18 years from 1989 - 2006 and am looking to return. I love to fish and miss the salmon & halibut fishing, in addition to the moose and caribu eating. I am looking to enjoy life by keeping a large part of my time reserved for activities that I enjoy. Fishing, movies, travel, theater, ball games, etc. to name a few. As good as it sounds, it doesn't mean a thing unless I can find someone with similar interests to share and enjoy it with. Although I have children, they all live far away and I don't see them that often. I would like to communicate with someone and see if we have some common interests with the goal of getting together and seeing where it may lead. I am not looking for a temporary situation, rather one that will begin what I hope to be the best time in my life.
Financial situation is pretty good. Retired military pension, good health benefit plan for me (and spouse). No debt, and will also be receiving social security starting June of 2013. Prefer the Mat-Su Valley but will consider Anchorage/Eagle River.
