I was born and raised in Alaska and much of my family still lives in Bristol Bay. I love Alaska, but do enjoy traveling abroad. However, I don't see moving away from Alaska anytime soon. I have an exciting and dynamic career and continue to attend college when I can in order to complete my graduate degree. In the winter months I lead a unique volunteer effort to help people living in rural Alaska through the use of dog sled teams to travel throughout the state on expeditions that bring resources to communities with the aim of reducing the high rates of suicide, substance abuse, sexual assault and violent crime.
I hope to meet someone who is willing to consider communicating with me despite the distance I may live from them. I am not into drinking or the bar scene so if you are looking for a guy that likes to go out to the bars then don't waste your time with me. Meet people from Alaska, United States. Hello! Glad you'r reading this.....my pictures must be ok.lol. I'm a pretty normal guy in a good way. I love my family and friends. I've led a fairly strange life so far as far as experiencing Alaska. I'm told that I'm caring, honest, and sometimes funny! My picture isn't a very good one, but I do look like that :) Before you read any further I have to admit I do not know what I'm looking for!! Or what I want really (lot's of profiles say I'm looking for someone who's confident, knows who they are and what they want....yada yada yada.) I mean I know I want someone to share my life with. A women who makes me feel good, and that I can't get out of mind. Now who that is....what they should be like....how I get there......well that's the hard part. I am as confused as the next guy. I love xcountry skiing b/c it's so relaxing, and downhill even more. I like to get the most out of life! I like to get outdoors as much as possible. Not for super strenuous stuff usually, but just fishing, skiing, camping,walking, I'm sure you get the idea. I love going to bluegrass festivals and fishing in the summer, and skiing saturday and sunday in the winter (at Alpenglow usually, but sometimes Alyeska). Maybe on a powder day during the week I might get sick. (cough, cough) I find that I generally have some kind of plans for the weekend. I do like to sit at home, but like to get out, see music, people, have fun. Personality wise, I'm rather shy in a way......I'm very open and talkative initially, but usually am too shy to get any closer. I usually notice a women likes me about a month after she decides she doesn't any more as I'm pretty clueless at times. I really like stupid jokes, and puns. I love campfires. I love watching sports on TV. I'm a rabid Cleveland Browns fan. I like a cold beer on a hot day, and wine with a good meal. See... I'm a pretty normal guy. I'd like this internet thing to work out, and find someone special. I do still believe in love at first sight, but have yet to experience it. I am not scared of children, but am not looking to be a dad. If I ended up dating a single mom, of course I'd have to get along with the child, but would 100% want to get to know the mom first.
