I am a giver, not a taker - sometimes to a fault. I am compassionate and empathetic. I love kids, dogs, and old people (but they are getting younger by the day, lol!). I value my Christian beliefs and am, for the most part, non-denominational. I love to laugh!!! .... but do not like practical jokes that are mean-spirited. I'm a true romantic with a desire to have depth and meaning in a relationship. I believe in life-long learning and improving of self. I'm not perfect. I don't expect you to be either :o)
I am not a good camper (tent style) or a tennis player, though I have done both. In the past I have done a good bit of bike riding and swimming (and will again). The best way for me to enjoy the heat is beach-side (ahhhh, the sound of the waves), pool-side, or on the lake/river (can you tell I like water?). I would like to learn ballroom dancing before my daughters wedding (it's going to be lots of fun). I am not a party-girl (i.e. constantly needing to be with people), although I enjoy "functions". I have a passport but haven't traveled out of the states in a few years. I would love to do that again too.
I love sunrises and sunsets; music in small venues; the symphony; theater (movies) and theatre (stage). I like to keep up with current movies (at home or out) and best sellers. Addendum: I have extended my "radius" in order to include Huntsville, Al (lived there 19 yrs), Nashville, TN (worked there 3yrs), and the Gulf Coast beaches (have considered retiring there). I prefer the I65 corridor.

. I love variety in life. I try to be positive and enjoy positive people around me. I'm usually active and not what you would call a couch potato. I love the water! I've enjoyed traveling to different places, but always ready to come home. I always try to keep myself in good physical shape, but don't expect my partner to share the same interest...and if he does, that's a bonus! Being healthy is so important to me. I consider myself very loyal to the people I care about.
