I served in the active duty Air Force for five years and the Guard/Reserves for six years in the Administrative field. When I completed active-duty I began teaching Business/Marketing Education, High School and Adult Education. My most recent employment was a VSO (Veterans Service Officer) for four years. Although State budget cuts led to the closing of my County's VA office, I continue to provide veterans a means to access their VA benefits.
After 22 years of marriage, my husband and I separated in March of this year. We share custody of our 15 year old son. I live in a small town on 12 acres, and enjoy landscaping/gardening. I also enjoy making a genuine connection to others and helping them when and how I can if they are willing to help themselves.
I do not attend church regularly, but consider myself a Christian, and am concerned for our Country losing it's founding of a Christian foundation. I would consider myself mostly conservative politically, however, I think we (Americans) are for the most part, "played" by both sides of our political parties. I am continually amazed how I no longer recognize the Country I grew up in. I definitely favor true capitalism over socialism/communism. I have traveled to many major US cities and multiple countries abroad, including Europe and South/Central America. I think traveling is an excellent educational experience and would like to continue to travel 2-3 months each year. I am not fond of flying, however, that is the only practical means of getting to many places.
I do not think I will necessarily re-marry, but, would like to find a monogamous companion. I think both the human emotional and physical touch is very important in addition to shared ideas and interest.

My wish list of travel is a cruise to Alaska, going to Greece and Italy, and walking the Great Wall of China. I want to do these things with someone special. My son is grown, I have my life back and am loving it!!! I say hallelujah for that empty nest - no syndrome for me! I do miss him but he is still in town so I can get a dose of him and then be satisfied.

. I'm not sure why i'm here, maybe looking for a friend. I've put my heart inthe hands of GOD and I will wait on him to give it to the one he knows deserves it. So guess you can say i'm waiting on GOD almighty to take care of it for me. I'm a single christian woman that has the house on the hill not a mansion but its mine,(and the banks) LOL, drive a nice car not new but its paid for. I have all the things I need to live in todays world for I know GOD has prepared a mansion for me when I leave this world. So if i don't have someone in my life that is ok for now, maybe one day soon the one who is holding my heart will have time to share his heart and I can once again share my life with someone special.
I have no intention of growing old anytime soon. I put GOD first in my life and being a mother my three grown children and I also have grandchildren.
