I moved to CA 8 years ago in search of change and a career boost. It was time for an empty-nester and single mother, who raised wonderful children, to seek a little adventure on her own. A Mediterranean climate was an added bonus. The move was a good one. I am a happy person and in a happy place in my life. Now my thoughts are toward sharing my time with someone who enjoys life as much as I do. I am looking to find that elusive man of my dreams - could it be you? I am strong of character, confident, sociable, loving and giving but not a push-over; after all, a single woman cannot survive without a little chutzpah; which I translate into "courage". When not working, I try to volunteer my time with civic activities and have recently taken up horseback riding again. I love to dance. Zumba, my tread-climber and a Mediterranean diet keep me healthy. Football is great if my favorite team is winning and I even have the "terrible towel". My taste in music is eclectic - from Chopin nocturnes to Garth Brooks. I can be a classy lady or a tom-boy with a ponytail and everything in between. I can fit the occasion. Fine dining and great wine is always appreciated but, finding that out-of-the way place to enjoy comfort food with my special man would be very pleasurable. I enjoy preparing home-cooked meals in the warmth of a happy home surrounded by loved ones and friends. I like anything historic; including antiquities in museums, art galleries and old buildings/structures. Outdoor activities - but of course. Kayaking anyone? Yep, have done the hiking thing, too. Traveling is a plus and I want to see more of this great country. After I retire, Italy (in particular, Florence, Venice and Rome) and Jerusalem are on my bucket list. My extended family lives on a farm a few steps from the Aegean Sea. It is my 'heaven-on-earth" - simple living, rustic, loving people, home-made everything from the land and from the sea. Oh yeah, I am going back there, too!
