I am a good person and have been told that I am a classy lady. Everyone assumes that I am in my mid sixties. Mentally I'm in my fourties. I guess I'm a free spirit with a sense of humor but not irresponsible. All I lack is a partner with whom I could live, laugh, love and be happy.
I am honest, comitted, trustworthy, caring, very affectionate and have a good heart. I'm easy to talk to and a good listener.
I was married to a navy man who later became a naval officer and was the father of my three children. I have lived in Japan, the island of Cyprus, Okinawa (I was a Red Cross volunteer staff aide at Camp Kue Army Hospital serving as a dental assistant),Germany, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York and Florida. I have lived in California since 1972.
I do not have a college degree but I am intelligent, patient and determined. All the events that I have endured in my life could not be found in college. Prior to marriage I was a secretary to the principal of a high school. After marriage I worked in a bank in Manhattan until we started a family. After the death of my first husband I was employed at Knott's Berry Fam as a lead in Knott's Leather and Suede Store until my second marriage. I have been widowed three times, the last being Septemer 14, 2010.
I like anything that is beautiful. I especially like the beaches, marine life, nature and animals. I enjoy snuggling at home with my partner as well as being on the go with him.
I am grateful for my health, family and friends and my four year old grandson who makes me laugh.
I am looking for a relationship with a gentleman who is a good, loving man--one who would honor and respect me as I would him. I spent my working years in various capacities of accounting. Mostly at two long terms; 16 years at Wyle Labs in El Segundo; and 20 years at Italian Ceramic Tile in Anaheim. Although I did not have a college degree, I spent many an evening attending local colleges taking classes to benefit my chosen profession..
I like the outdoors and nature; frequenting gardens, parks, beaches, historical places, museums, as well as buildings, structures and monuments made by man. I like to travel too.
I also like attending productions at performing arts centers, occasionally movies, music concerts (indoors and out) and like dining out and getting together with friends.
I enjoy e-mailing and reading. Read.mostly real adventure stories, fictional mysteries, and spiritual material.
Rarely watch TV unless it's something special or a good movie. Read the paper for news, and listen to talk radio.
II walk every day and do exercises to stay fit. I rarely watch or attend ball games unless I'm with someone else.
I was born and raised in Alaska, but have called Southern Califonia my home for most of the last 55 years.
