Date women from United States / Alabama / Selma, 62 year old

Date a soulmate from Alabama, United States. I have a full time and a parttime job and I like them both - and I "puppy sit" for some of my friends. This keeps me as busy as I care to be and still have time to work in the yard (most rewarding). I like horses (don't have any at this moment), rock and roll oldies music and of course county music. Muscle cars from the 60's era are some of my favorite things. I want to travel more - a trip to Alaska is on my "bucket list".
People often say they want to meet someone with "no baggage", well we all have "baggage" be it good or bad. And everything that has happened to us is what has made us the person that we are today. And we all have some regrets - we are human, afterall. I don't have children of my very own - and if there is anything I would change it would be to have had the option of having children. But I do have two wonderful stepsons. I have a strong faith in GOD and I know that I am a work in progress.

Meet a woman from Alabama, United States. During my recent retirement party, my friends/co-workers described me as a hard worker, giving, dependable, considerate, trustworthy and a good listener and good friend. I'm also a bit of a Pollyanna - always looking for the good in life and people. My kids and grandkids are an amazing bunch of people. However, I am still looking for someone special to share time, conversations, companionship, friendship (always a requirement for a lasting relationship,)......where all that may lead, only time will tell.
Over the years I have learned to enjoy and appreciate the simple things in life.....time with kids and grand kids; sharing time and new experiences with someone special and that moment or touch or look that only the two of us understand.
After 30 years in education (executive assistant/testing coordinator) I retired with no regrets, and am ready to start the rest of my life. Even though I'm a pretty independent woman, I really am an old fashioned girl at heart. I was a church choir director for 12 years and still enjoy singing every Sunday.
The man I would love to meet is someone who has similar values and interests....someone to share good times, good food, good laughs, support each other in the not so good times...someone who knows how to turn "problems" into "challenges." We could share movies (I try to see all the Best Picture nominees each year,) concerts, maybe some theater, sporting events (live or on tv - go Giants and 49ers,) fine dining (made at home or out) or just watching a good movie at home with a big bowl of popcorn....that's best when there's someone to snuggle with while the movie (and not just chick flicks) stirs emotions or takes us away on a mental vacation. Some TV shows I enjoy are American Idol, Two and a Half Men (the reruns,) The Walking Dead, but mostly I enjoy nature and history shows. My bucket list still has lots of items that need to get checked off: What's on your bucket list? Maybe we can share some of those experiences.
A great first meeting would be in a not too noisy, comfortable place where we can share conversation, laugh, study each other's eyes (windows to the soul), and leave with anticipation for the next meeting.
