I am a single parent of a 17 year old son. I have been divorced for over 10 years and never really got too serious about finding someone to spend my life with. My son has always been my main concentration. Well, now that my son is old enough to be home alone, I am ready to find that right person to share in my travels and adventures. I quit my job of 10 years as a computer programmer in 2010 and returned to finish college at Iowa State University studying Civil Engineering (2013). I spent last summer with a friend in Florence, Italy and I think I have caught the traveling bug. I enjoy running marathons. Most recent was Marine Corp marathon. I like to do RAGBRAI and get on my bike in the summer. If you don't know what that is you should try it. :) I'm a firm believer in pursuing your dreams. Which is a big reason I returned to college at age 37. :) That was strange at first, but I am glad I did it now.
This summer I will be in Alabama and plan to move there next May or August. I am planning a cross-country bicycle ride the summer of 2013. Want to come with? Anyways, I have family in the Guin, AL area. I want to make my way down to Alabama, some place, to be closer to them. Someday, I want to build my own house there.
