I have an ironic/sarcastic sense of humor, and I'd like to think I'm pretty funny--at least that's what people tell me. (This assumes, of course, that they are not lying.)
I grew up Baptist, converted to Catholicism, and now consider myself without a religion; so, if a shared religious experience is important to you, we are probably not a match. I'm not much into atheists either. I've always considered atheists to be lacking in imagination; and I still feel, and must feel to stay sane, that there is something beyond myself that is unexplainable.
I consider myself a writer, but I have to work at a soul-sucking job to pay the bills. I don't necessarily hate my job, but wouldn't you agree you can categorize as soul-sucking any job that does not utilize your gifts?
I read a lot, and this is important to me. Yes, I watch television more than I should, but I am trying to cut back and perhaps eliminate it completely from my life. If there was some sort of methadone-like substance that could help me gradually ease off, that would be great. If you watch a lot of television and don't feel icky afterwards, or if you can write a sentence without punctuation or capital letters and not feel guilty about it, we're definitely not a match. What does one have to do with another, you may ask? My hunch is that one's inability to write the English language is proportionate to one's concern for the Kardashians.
I'll probably expand this later, but for now it is what it is.

A lot of people frown on long distance relationships, but isn't that why this site was created? I think it was created for people to expand their territories and look beyond the local, state and regional areas to find friends and perhaps that special someone that you wouldn't normally run into, while doing your normal/usual day to day activities. It is my belief that if I found the woman for me on this site and she lived out of town or state, if she decides to let me court her from a distance, we will have to communicate regularly and use the available technology like planes, cell phones, Skype to our advantage and make it work until the time comes for us to make the ultimate decision. I'm willing to go through this, if GOD allows me to meet the one for me on this site and she lives in another state. It will have to be a choice we both would have to make. It can be done though. It would take commitment, trust, and honesty to make it work. If you don't posses these qualities, don't waste my time or yours. That's real talk.
