Date people from Alabama, United States. I'm a simple looking fellow but I have a pretty unique story. I feel like a stranger in my own culture and have little experience dating this decade. I set out to sail around the world 10 years ago and I have finally made it back to the states this past June. This leaves me completely out of practice with dating and with pop culture. I am not someone who expresses themselves by dress, piercing, sport team,hairstyle, tattoo, music but I appreciate those who do. I appear rather vanilla, I suppose, but I express myself by doing, I guess... I am very chatty, very open, very engaging with all folks I encounter. I like to make people smile and think. This comes from traveling alone so much and of course being raised southern. I am not quiet or introspective but I really enjoy yoga and free dive spear fishing/shell hunting, 2 quite and meditative hobbies, oh and bird watching(I know dorky right?). I like politics, current events, religion and I feel compelled to converse about these things even though I was raised not to. I would rather go to a dinner party, family/friends cookout, event or cocktail party than a club,bar,loud restaurant. I guess it is easier to mingle and interact with others. I am crazy as a loon, and serious about staying that way! I am in love with the ocean and all it's parts! I seek living an alternative lifestyle that maximizes a positive footprint on all around me. I want time for a family, personal growth, community, as well as financial security. I want to be more than my occupation or my stuff! I live to know that I have made the most of my time on this rock...Earth! I want share my adventures and pass on any understanding I have that might help others to pursue their dreams of a better life!
I work in Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico as a fisheries biologist for extended trips so I apologize if absent temporarily. I will spent the summer around Houma LA.and in the Gulf on short week or two long trips then a week of sweet freedom.
