Date men and women from Alabama, United States. I am generally an easy going, fun loving guy... Ok, now that the clich? has been said, I guess I have to explain it.
I am not one to worry about many things and I take life as it comes. This doesn't mean that I don't get stressed out from time to time, because, like most people, I do from time to time. The difference is that I just deal with whatever comes my way and once dealt with, they're no longer stressful. I like to take the time to enjoy what life has given me.
I find enjoyment in my friends and making other people happy. This means that as long as I am with friends, I can be happy doing pretty much anything.
As far as things I like to do, I like lots of varied outdoor activities, but some of my favorite are camping, rafting, off-roading and pretty much anything on the water. I also enjoy going out to the bar with friends and random road-trips. Other interests include tinkering with computers and automobile engines.
I am also a very logical person, almost to a fault. I use logic to determine why things happen and how things work. Yes, I was the 6 year old who got in trouble for taking about the VCR to figure out how it worked. I consider myself somewhat of a handy man and don't like to throw things away that can be fixed with $5 and 15 minutes worth of time. Being logical, I am not very prone to "drama" and am not looking for someone who is "dramatic". A good debate is fine and often enjoyed, but if the old "well, if you loved me...." is employed, I'll just throw my hands up and be done. That being said, "intelligent" conversation is definitely a plus in my book, even if it's about a topic the only one side know anything about. I enjoy learning new things and I hope the other does as well.
I enjoy cooking, but only when cooking for someone else. I can't seem to bring myself to cook a nice meal for just me, seems kind of wasteful.
I am employed by a major R&D company where I write embedded applications and maintain a few servers.
I am not much of a casual dater. I don't believe in having lots of different relationships. I think the longer lasting ones are much more gratifying.
I would have to say that I live mostly by the Golden Rule in that you should cause no harm to the people around you.
Music is something that helps me get through all aspects of life. There is always something playing morning, noon and night. I enjoy most types of music including rock, metal, alternative, classical, jazz, big-band, electronic/rave/techno, some r&b and hip-hop and even some country. I am not a big fan of pop music. This leads to another hobby: car-stereo tinkering.
I guess that's enough about me. The woman that I think would be perfect for me would have to be, at least a little, tom-boyish. I say that mostly for the purpose of being able to do things outdoors with her. If she knows how to turn a wrench, 10 cool points, but not required. She would also have to be able to put up with the highly sarcastic teasing that occurs between myself and my friends. Education is also a plus for being able to hold an intelligent conversation or debate.

I have a two year old son and he means everything to me. Right now, he is the light at the end of my tunnel. Finding someone who understands that raising a child from another marriage has its challenges, and is ready to take it head on, is very important to me. Also, I would like the possibility of having more children, one day.

A little more about me (if you've made it this far)...I have a great job that takes me all over the country and has provided experiences that you can not find in Mobile, AL. However, the down-side is that life on the road can make it a little difficult to meet people in the traditional ways and the Mobile bar scene has run it's course...to say the least! (Hence the dating website you and I are both on rigtht now...it is what it is..)

I am sarcastic, pessimistic, but highly entertaining. My friends tend to describe me as the nicest self-centered generous selfish jerk (match.com won't allow the actual word) they know. As they have put it, "when we try to find women to set you up with we usually go with the one that says $%^^ off to us from the start... she's perfect for you". (obviously that works, since i'm on here)
I tend to be very distant and unapproachable to people I do not know. Apparently, my natural expression (generally blank) is intimidating. I disagree. I'm honestly a very nice person, just guarded, and very blunt when stupidity is around. I have no problem speaking my mind. It seems honesty is only an endearing trait if it's something the other person wants to hear :) oh well. In a nutshell, that's me.

Meet someone special from United States. What up. Guess I've been reading profiles on here for a couple/few months and am realizing I'm pretty generic when writing my profile. And who wants that. We're on here looking for the extraordinary. So here goes, imma rewrite it and go way overboard on the to much info tip. But it's the truth so you can know where I stand in your future plans.
Let me start by speaking of my career. I haven't one. A high percentage of profiles speak of meeting a career oriented man. I am a family oriented man. I value life above all and realize how short it is. That all being said, I do possess a few skills sets that can pay the bills. I'm an avid gardener, capable of growing the very best of everything from tomatoes to okra and occasionally other things in between with a much higher profit margin. In the last few years I've been playing alot of poker to help supplement cash flow n it's kept me out of the other markets I profit in for a while. This tends to b a pattern in my life, work up some money over a season n live it away for awhile then repeat. Im good with this though. I don't have a lot of stuff/junk but I'm happy n positive about my days n life n general. I value not what can b bought. I'm a little out of the box, I won't argue that, but I am respectful of all my blessings and am looking for a variable I cannot live without. I hate this part - let me condense everything interesting about myself and what I'm looking for into several sentences that have to catch the attention of the "right" girl. That sounds difficult…but I guess everyone is thinking the same thing when they are writing this.
Here are a few specific things about me:
- I adore my family, especially my nephews and niece - I like hanging out with them because I get to play with toys again and no one looks at me funny.
- I have always thought that dogs understand way more than they let on.
