I suppose the best way I can describe myself is that I tend to be quiet, which some might consider to be a bad thing. I don't consider it a flaw, however. Being silent allows you to listen and understand the person or people talking to you.
I consider myself to be keen on what's going on around me, but also blissfully ignorant of the issues surrounding religion and politics. Let's face it, most of the problems that come out of the news nowadays are political or religious in nature. I consider myself to be practical in that way: if I can't do anything about it, I can't waste time worrying about it.
I'm a former U.S. Marine, though I do not consider myself to be the "tough guy" type. I know my strengths, but I also try to exhibit humility. Being proud of yourself and being prideful are two different things. That's probably why sports isn't on the top of my favorites, as well.
I try to be honest in everything I do. Honesty, integrity, and loyalty are very important qualities to have, and sadly they are not qualities that tend to show themselves very often now. Knowing that your partner is with you to the end is priceless, and I have a hard time believing that anyone would argue against that.
I suppose now I could describe an ideal dating activity to better describe what I value as a person. I think the most important thing we would do is talk with each other. The topic would be unimportant, as the focus is on listening to each other and learning from each other. Laughing is a great way to spend time as well, because humor is a must. Perhaps a drive around town, talking about various things, laughing at funny situations... I think that would work well.
