Meet single man from Alabama, United States. Who am I? Well, that question seems simple but is surprisingly very complex. It's the type of question that, given enough time, will change over and over again. But that's okay, who I am now will still be a little part of who I will be in the future. This stuff just compounds itself anyway.
As for who I am right now, I would have to say that I am a very involved, opinionated and passionate person on subject matters that I know and care for. I enjoy a good conversation about anything really. I believe that the truth is only found through discussing our life experiences. Being able to have an intelligent, open minded conversation is critical.
I grew up with a family that had dinner at the kitchen table every school night and discussed our issues of the day and how to respond to them appropriately. I believe that the family unit is crucial in providing life support for each other when things don't go as planned; and we all know that life doesn't go as planned. Through my family I was taught traditional southern values, especially how to treat people, friends and strangers alike. Kindness, Respect, and Honesty are values that I look for in everyone I meet. Any potential match must have similar core values.
I have an affinity for the arts. Music has always played a role in my life. I grew up in a family filled with musicians, where music was both innate and learned. I myself preformed in choirs and bands, and recently renewed my love for the guitar.
I believe in volunteering and look for the same in a partner who understands that real joy in life is about giving of yourself to your friends, family and community.
As for my sense of humor... Life is just funny in general. Sometimes it's not funny until much later, other times it's "ROTFLOL" hysterical at that moment (yes, I did just used ROTFLOL in my profile). I try to be witty but, my wit is mostly dry humor.

About year ago my fincee and I ended the endagement after three years, so its time to get back into the dating scene. My uncle and a few of my friends found their "Match" through this site. So I see that it works. So here is a bit about me.
I was in the Navy for 8 years, and 6 of them were in Japan. I loved living in Japan. I have traveled to many Asian and Middle East countries. One day I am planning to do a European tour. I do like traveling, but avoid aircraft if I can. The navy basicly landed me my current job. I do pretty much what I did in the Navy, but with a lot better management. I love my job, it can take up a lot of my time, but I am able to schedule my work around my needs. I am mechanically inclined, so a great handy man, and don't like paying for services that I can do. I own my own home, I like it and love the location, but it's is a bit emtpy.
I recently got back into photography, I travel a lot for my job, so I always travel with camra. I started gardening, this summer I have grown good bit of bell peppers and ton of tomatoes. Sadly Alabama heat killed the strawberries, cucumbers, and peas. What I have learned this year, I should yeild a lot next year when I do it full scale. My brother gave me his 73 VW Beatle, which when the fall comes I'll be restoring. Never restored a car before but I am up for the challenge.
