I'm originally from Southeast Missouri and have lived in Alabama for a little over a year now. My job/school (for me they are the same thing) eats up a lot of time, so I don't get to meet new people very often (ergo the online dating). My long term career goals is to become a college professor in Biology.
I'm a fun loving person, and I value quality time with my friends and family more than anything. I love to laugh and even more so to make people laugh. Most people would describe me as an intellectual. I read a lot, but I also read a diversity of things (classics, poetry, history, biography, modern fiction, etc.). I love classic movies (e.g. Arsenic and Old Lace, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, and so many others I can't count). I'm extremely eclectic with music; I listen to almost anything, but my favorites are Classical, Contemporary Christian, and Folk/World. I love spending time outside doing things like hiking and gardening (though I can't at my apartment). I like to sing, and according to some of my friends, I sing pretty well.
My faith is extremely important to me. I am Christian and my relationship with God is always the most important thing in my life. I am active in my church where I sing in the choir and teach Sunday School. It's important to me that the person I'm with shares my beliefs and values.
I'm looking for a woman who is intelligent with a sense of humor and likes to have good, clean fun. I've observed that academics who marry other academics don't often have successful marriages, so I'd really like to find a partner that is in another field. I'm really old fashioned when it comes to relationships, so it's important that my partner is comfortable with taking things slowly.

Hi, I'm officially a new resident to the state of Alabama. I moved here from the very far away in Tennessee. Ok not really that far, but I did spend a three month stint in California. Ironically, the nuclear disaster in Japan persuaded me to be a nuclear security officer. I'm usually somewhat introverted, but love to socialize at the same time. In my free time I like to participate in group activities and attend sporting events in the Huntsville area. When I'm at home I occasionally cook, but mostly grill. Some of my hobbies are running, exercising, and watching sports. When I get the time, I like to travel. I can be spontaneous at times when it comes to going places. Theres probably a few more things I could write here, but I'll leave it at this for now. If you want to know anything else, You'll probably have to wait since I'm not a paid subscriber yet.
