I work at a sports store Monday-Friday from 4am-1pm and for coca cola every sat and Sunday from 8am to 6pm. So I work 364 days a year. Okay, I admit. I'm not a bit of a thinker. I'm a thinker through-and-through. I love ideas. Thinking, brainstorming, strategizing, debating, and intelligent conversations about God, wisdom, apologetics, business, personality types, and other such cool things charge me up.
Along these lines, I have recently come to the realization that I am a complete nerd. It cannot be denied any longer. Don't be fooled by the spiky hair, lack of glasses, and not-so-geek looking clothes. When you know a couple programming languages and spend your day talking to computers, nobody cares about that stuff anymore. You are a nerd. Plain and simple. So yeah... I work as a web developer with a local education startup. But I also enjoy the business side of starting new ventures, and I've had a few over the years... so much fun. I think business can be a unique platform for ministry, but you'll have to get to know me if you want to find out how. ;-)
I'm a driven and goal-oriented person - God has put a few things on my heart that I feel led to strive for with the time He's given me. That being said, although I'm disciplined and focused while working, relationships with God and man are important priorities in my life. Knowing how to work and knowing how to stop working are equally important, and I believe that God's work for us is not a conflicting priority with our relationships, but something that flows out of them. Time and time again He uses our relationships to accomplish His work.
I compartmentalize my life, and I really flip the switch when it comes to play time, so you better watch out... I can be quite witty, ridiculous, and I don't hesitate to do crazy stuff (especially if we can make a movie of us doing it together).
Random fact: For as long as I can remember, I have aspired to be a ninja.
I have a diverse variety of interests, and I'm always looking to dabble in new activities that are athletic, funny, or unique. Sometimes I like to try things with a hint of danger to keep life interesting.
Writing is something that I find very meaningful - it provides a peaceful outlet to record the wisdom and lessons learned - and hopefully pass them on to others. I live a simple, orderly life at home, and enjoy investing my time, energy, and money on other things than maintaining lots of stuff.
I have a good life, and there are a lot of things that I'm passionate about. But, I would enjoy having a friend and companion to share life with. I'm praying that in His time and in His will, God would provide a covenant companion for the good times and the bad - so that together, we can have a past to look back on, a present to enjoy, and a future to look forward to. A partner with whom "iron can sharpen iron" - that we may "exhort each other daily to be strong in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ." Someone who lives life on the edge - a daring spirit who pushes themselves to the limit in everything they do - spiritually, physically, mentally, and emotionally. A friend who's not afraid to take risks and do crazy stuff! A woman who's equally comfortable in a Bentley or in Bangladesh. Ultimately, a wife who will be a helpmate in business and ministry - a trench buddy when there's stuff to get done. A playmate to enjoy life with - to laugh together and cherish every day that we're given. A mindmate to think, brainstorm, and debate with, and a soulmate to enjoy the rich fellowship of walking with God together each day.
