I am very grateful for the opportunity to be a father and for my two sons, who live with me part of the time - they keep me laughing as well as teach me things that can only be learned through children. We enjoy trips together, playing sports together and an occasional movie.

Being a Vanderbilt fan has its advantages including teaching one patience and humility, having minimal postgame traffic (and pregame traffic for that matter), and enjoying talking to an ecstatic ticket seller in the Vanderbilt Ticket Office when they learn one would like to purchase season tickets. If you are an Alabama or Auburn fan, I am conversant in most aspects of Alabama and Auburn football (as one of my sons is an ardent Alabama fan and the other is an exceptionally enthusiastic Auburn fan), and I would happily watch or attend games with you.

- I have a steady income - Yes, retired with enough money that I don't HAVE to work....EVER
- I am not a couch potato nor have a beer belly - 6-foot, 175 pounds, 33-34 inch waist
- I have a college education - several degrees and getting more
- I can make you laugh - did standup comedy and that dueling piano show for about 8 years
- I am honest and know how to treat a lady - would you expect less from a southern-raised, military man? Chivalry isn't dead, by the way, you just have to look harder
- I am passionate about something - like giving back, solving autism, getting involved with medical research
