A bit more about me...
My kids are grown adults living in different parts of the country. I hang out with them pretty often. We have a ton of fun together. I was a parent at 19 and woefully unprepared. I spent most of my young years trying to figure out how not to screw them up. It all worked out well, despite my countless missteps. I love them to pieces.
I like to make people laugh: But my humor can range from ultra dorky, which is when people laugh *at* me to the other end of the spectrum which can be pretty inappropriate. I've been known to make folks squirm.
I'm good at team Sports....not. Actually, I *suck* at team sports. Seriously, I really suck at team sports. When I was 12, I weighed a solid 90 pounds and tried to play football. My coach had a cruel sense of humor and put me in as a linebacker. It didn't go well. I later tried baseball. My eye / hand coordination at the time was slightly above that of a paraplegic (see, inappropriate humor, 'eh?). Bottom line, I sucked at baseball too. I'll spare you the basketball story. And dodge-ball, if that's even a sport, was just down right embarrassing. Deep emotional wounds persist. ;)
I am pretty good at... snow boarding, running (distance), scuba, fishing. Probably not considered sports by many. Oh yeah, and I shoot pool pretty well, which actually is a sport in the England ;)
I'm also good at spelling the word "quiet", which I learned to spell early in life when I I was given the opportunity to write it a bazillion times within the sentence "I will be quiet in class". No sh*t (not allowed to curse on match.com)
I'm *not* really good at.....
Playing guitar...but I'd seriously consider sacrificing a small part of my body to play like some of the best (not any part of my body, mind you....perhaps my pinkie toe....and certainly my appendix)
Feigning in a social setting.... I'm pretty easy to read and if I'm generally unhappy about a situation, or I have a strongly different opinion.... it shows, and if you have an IQ in the triple digits, you're going to see it, often despite my best efforts to remain passive.
Sitting still. I like to do stuff. It can be a wide range of stuff, but I live a really active life, and I like it that way. I don't sleep much.
Juggling wild monkeys. (the domesticated ones are much easier).....I'm just making sure that you're still reading ;)

Date single man from Alabama, United States. I hate trying to write these things and I'm sure I will change it again before long. I was told my last profile was refreshingly honest, and I was told that I was way to negative in my outlook on dating and meeting people. What I had written at the time was how I felt at that time. Things have changed some so I decided to update. I'm still being honest and it does not matter what I write it still sounds lame to me.
Let me start by telling you a little about myself. I work as a Property Manager/Asset Manager for a non-profit. I guess one could say I'm average build for my age, but I would like to loose a few lbs. I'm not fat by no means. I just have a case of Furniture Disease. That is where your chest has fallen into your drawers. I'm teasing. It is not that bad. I have a five year old daughter that lives with me. She keeps me busy and does not allow for me to just up and meet people. I have older sons that are grown now and live near by. Both are in career training. One to be a mechanice and the other is training to be a fireman. I enjoy being outdoors, working the yard or just walking around in the sunshine. I'm an Alabama fan. I pull for the Tide in all sports, but football is a must see for me. I enjoy NASCAR, but I'm not one that has to sit and watch every lap of every race. Going to Talledega is always a lot of fun. I enjoy to travel, but I don't have a lot of time for it. I was very active in sports and other things when younger, but not so much anymore. Life kinda gets in the way of that kind of stuff as you get older. I would like to start playing golf again. I use to play a lot, but I was never anygood at it.
As for what I'm looking for. That is a good question. I'm not really sure. There are certain qualities that I like to see in a woman. I want honesty, loyality, and integrity first and foremost. I like a woman that takes pride in her appearence. T-shirts and sweat pants are fine, but ladies, not everyday. Also, I like a woman that is not above in getting dirty helping in the yard or draging limbs while cleaning up the yard. Did I mention camping above? I don't think I did. I want a women whos idea of camping and roughing it is not sitting in a motor home or goose neck trailer. Lets pitch a tent, build a fire, get a cold beer and some marsh mellows. You can have all the marsh mellows you want. I will just help with the roasting part. So, much for what I'm looking for. I think from what I have said so far you should have a good idea.
I don't do drugs or anythink like that so you want find me hanging out with people like that.
BTW, I do smile, but I find it very difficult to fake a smile and it is hard to smile when taking pictures of one's self.
